He came out and birdied the first hole, then got hit with another one of the clicking cameras, got pissed off, Steve Williams had words wth the guy, then Tiger hooked his tee ball and made 7 on a par 5. Then he bogeys the next two holes. He is currently 3 over thru 10. Bet he still makes the cut but looks like another major he will not win.

settle down ltw2. just wanted your opinion seeing as you follow him so closely.

We will see how Phil compares today. Today was Tigers day to go low playing in the morning before the afternoon winds. No doubt that he can still go low tomorrow but I think it will be a little tougher.

ltw2 who would be your pick for player of the year up to the PGA championship?

You can make a case for 3 players,
Vijay-top of the money list
Ernie-3rd on the ML, 2 wins in only 11 tournys
Phil-Masters win, 2nd on ML

Phil would pbly get the nod
Tiger has some time left though, a few wins at the end could vault him to the top of the ML with some impressives W's under his belt this year (Accenture)
make no mistake, i hope tiger gets it

today should be interesting. I think they will play from the tips today giving the longer hitters a little edge.

I think he makes it, but not by much

He's got a stroke to play with after 35 holes.

I'm not a big Tiger fan, nor a Tiger hater, but I mean was there anybody else on the golf course this afternoon? He has been the center of the entire broadcast in an attempt to make a cut..... :bs:

Tiger..

Tiger..

My 73 year old father in law, who does not know one end of club from other, sits in front of tube just to watch Tiger......I watch golf when I need the commentators hushed monotone voices to lull me to sleep.....never fails......essentially: Tiger IS golf.....as was Palmer, as was Nicklaus.....

I just wonder when the media will come to admit that Woods is no more than just another pro golfer at this point in time. They don't know what else to talk about. Hey here's an idea. How about talking about who's leading or in contention? Don't spend the whole broadcast talking about a golfer who is barely making the cut.

Tiger is still a major draw for people who don't follow golf. The people who know golf will watch it regardless of who is playing week in and week out. The casual viewer needs the Tiger factor to watch.
