There's a good chance sophomore Carson Williams will make his fifth career start as Army quarterback on Saturday at Wake Forest.

Senior starter David Pevoto's left foot was in a boot as he walked into the locker room yesterday.

Pevoto left Saturday's game against Rhode Island in the second quarter with an ankle sprain and didn't return.

Pevoto practiced with a red shirt yesterday, which means he couldn't be hit. He didn't take any snaps but did throw after practice.

Coach Stan Brock said he didn't know Pevoto's status at noon yesterday.

"I know he had an appointment today," Brock said. "I have only talked to the trainers. I saw him yesterday and he was resting."

Williams completed 12-of-20 for 148 yards and a game-winning 25-yard overtime touchdown to Justin Larson.
