The Williams sisters have taken the ladies game to a new level. Not only do they hit the ball harder, their movement around the court is excellant.

They are built like men and could compete with them to.

Look no further, which one I dont know. To me Serena has surpassed her older sister, but is it like they say it is?

Who is daddy going to say and let win?

Ummmmm......where should I start.........I know some who read this will think I'm just some sexist guy......I'm far from it. I know women rule the world and have all the power when it comes to contolling us.............but your WAY off when you say they can compete with the men.......way way off.


Yes, and some know I used to play on the tour myself (the minor leagues).........and if the Williams sisters were men (no jokes please) they would have a hard time even making the main draw at a lower level tourney. And I won't even start on their doubles abilities....they don't have a clue how to play doubles and wouldn't even be a top 10 team in NCAA (US Collegiate Tennis) let alone win a grand slam. The Williams sisters win because of two things.....POWER and INTIMIDATION.........they have little if not any experiance when it comes to how to play the big points day in and day out because they don't have to. The women's game is so pathetic when it comes to depth that they cruise to the semis.......and if they actually have a tough match it's looked at like some sort of shock (like Serena first round vs. Loit)...why because it is. And if Loit kept serving to Serena's backhand and angle volleying to the opposite side she would have won! My point being is that the women's game is so poor (although it is better then it was 10 years ago) that the Williams don't even need to think on the court. To tell ya how bad it is....Venus just shows up a coupe days before Aussy Open and plays like crap first round and wins.....no warm up tourneys...no nothing....it's pathetic. I hate to say this but the Williams sisters wouldn't even crack the top 1000 in the world......I myself sucked compared to the top men's players and me and one of my college buddies could beat them in doubles......and that's not an ego thing...just the facts! Not to mention the fact of a guy in top 500 playing one of em in singles......it would be a joke....an absoloute joke! In fact two years ago Kaarsten Braasch ranked in the 300's at the time played each of em a set and didn't drop a game......and I know for a fact he smoked 5 cigs between sets and the previous night he was up to 5am drinking. I could go on and on about the Williams Sisters and how they wouldn't do this or wouldn't do that. But trust me the Women's game and the men's game are totally totally different...........for fu**s sake Steffi Graf was #1 for like 10 000 years and she didn't even need to hit a topspin backhand .............need I say more.


So sorry Derek......I have to totally disagree with you.....I can't wait for the day for the Williams to actually play a guy between 500-900..........I so wish it would happen.........same holds true for me in doubles/.........even now I'd love to play em in doubles....and trust me I stink

Not pissed with you mate. Your entitled to your opinion.

Didn't know you played tennis to a high level. Me, well I can't serve, volley or hit groundstrokes, heck i'm lucky if it goes over the net and lands in play.

I just think that outside the top 100 in the mens game the next 400 or so guys are much of a much.

On another note, thanks for the e-mails, dont wager on Italian football much as the results are inconsistant. Can't comment on game you have in question.

Sorry but I must agree with Kickserv here. The Williams sisters will struggle to take a few games of any man. The males are in a different league.

Although Kickserv posts did not come across as giving the Williams sisters as much credit as they deserve. True Derek's comment was inaccurate, but lets give these Williams girls some respect. They were not brought up with the life of royalty like many top tennis stars are, and neither did they come from a family full of wealth. These girls learnt their trade down in the slums, and have rised to the top of their game through hard work. They are true athletes, and in my opinion, they are a credit to the black race, and to the game of tennis itself.
