wireless issue with my laptop

my other laptop works fine with wirless in the house...
just purchased a ised laptop toshiba tecra with windows xp
it has intel (R) pro wireless 2100 lan 3b mini pci adapter
- i have a linkys router
gave the wep key and installed....
under wirless connections i see its aquiring my wireless network connextion...as well as our neighbors but when i click mine
it still does not connect to the internet
- tried under advanced
- any available network( acess point preferred
- acess point (infracture)networks only
- computer to computer (ad hoc)networks only
still no go
when i try using erthernet that works to connect to internet
but the wirless...not sure whats going on
under network bridge,,says wireless network connextion,,enabled, bridged
intel(R) pro/wireless 2100 L

Enable it accordingly through your IP address. use admin and admin as username and pw.

go to http://192.168.1.1 and try to connect using your linksys router. From here you should be able to find your network key (if you have on est up) and configure it. Pretty easy.

just went to the site via enthernet cable
which works fine and i already know what my network key is......installed it ..but still no go

Try updating drivers, Intel cards can be really bad sometimes on drivers/firmware.

Take away your network key and just set it to broadcasting with no security. Does your laptop see it now and work?


Try removing the wireless card through device manager and reboot and let windows pick it up again.
