And let's not forget, Wisky fouled the least out of any team in the NCAA this year and yet Duke shot double the free throws, in the bonus before the halfway point of the 2nd half. Typical Duke officiated game. Pitiful...:facepalm:
Duke played a helluva lot better than Wisconsin. Period. Why Wisconsin didn't drive the basket far more often, is beyond me. Maybe it's because they missed about 15 lay-ins?

Exactly. I hate to be the douchey refs cost us the game guy, but the refs cost wisconsin a national championship. Sad.
Refs this refs that.. . Sure the refs made some bad calls, on both sides of the ball.... However I think the big difference here is how Duke played dekker... dekker had 12 points, 0-6 from 3 point land... Dukes defense against dekker won the game Imo... they didn't let dekker get going one bit.... and I think dekker is a big key to the offense they ran

I've seen this episode a thousand times. Wisconsin outplayed them for 3/4 of the game....got up by 9. Coach K "adjusts"...and he does adjust....but the ref's cater to him.
They play more physical and the ref's swallow their whistle. Ball goes out of bounds and its automatically "Duke Ball". About 3-5 calls/no-calls that could have easily gone Wisconsin's way...and instead of Wisconsin keeping that buffer...Duke is only down 2 and within striking distance.
Absolute great game last night for 30 minutes and then ref's cater to the biggest fraud in the history of sports. K is an unbelievable coach but he gets that bullshit game after game against equal opponents. I barely watch Duke games anymore. Its sickening.
Wisconsin up by 9 decides to go on a fouling spree....Duke down 9 ups the intensity and commits 1 foul??? Its horse-shit and it happens over and over. And privileged America fucking loves it. Privileged America loves the Duke bullshit and that's why it happens over and over.

I believe in the past 15 years Duke is 27-12 versus UNC Cheaters. Once some UNC wins are vacated it will probably be a 80 or 85 percent winning percentage.
UNC has been cheating since Dean Smith and the Afro program started and yet you are worried about refs favoring Duke.
Get your house in order first and then get on your high horse.

So with Okafor and Winslow both in foul trouble throughout the game, Wisconsin shot how many 3 pt shots and made how many?
One bad call here or there did not dictate who won this game. Tyus took control of the game and Wisky failed to convert FTs and inside shots, Duke executed when Tyus had open looks w/o Okafor in the paint and Winslow challenged in the lane and made the FTs that counted.
Bo Ryan never made the adjustments in the last 4 mins that could have counted and Wisky should have pounded the ball inside and fouled out Winslow and Okafor, but they failed, they took long shots and whiffed, not even close to the rim on several of those shots. They were as many said already, "GAS'd" and they left everything on the court, so did Duke. The better team won and the refs did not lose the game.
I wanted Wisky to win as much as anyone who took them on Monday night, but the better team that night plain and simply won.
Ryan's comment about 1 and dones was blown out of proportion too, he's not afraid to say his peace, but the fact of the matter is, with the NBA not allowing HS kids to enter the draft, the ones who have talent to play in the NBA someday are going to go to the programs where they can get disciplined, a chance to play now, rather than later, and play for coaches who have had a program that produces NBA players. How many former Wisky players are in the NBA? Can you name any current player who starts in the NBA right now that played at Wisconsin?

The problem with making a blank statement such as "I prefer not to rent a player", is just a preference of how a coach likes to build their program. That fits their style, so nothing wrong with that. Last 2 years, Wisconsin finished in top 4, losing to KY LY by a deuce and got revenge this yr beating the only undefeated team in the NCAA. Kudos to Wisky for doing that. Other teams along the way had shots at beating KY as well, A&M, ND in the NCAA final 8, LSU.
Wisconsin has nothing to be ashamed of and Bo either helped his program with recruits or he squashed any shot of getting any top recruit after his comments, it's totally up to the HS players who, what and where they want to play, but Bo truly didn't help himself getting any HS player with a shot to go out as a freshman and into the NBA, plus the way he recruits he won't recruit that type of player anyways and he let everyone know that. So kudos for him being honest.
The coaches who've adjusted and are playing in the now and building for the future, Coach K and Coach Cal and even Alford, are building their paths for their programs to be top echelon programs for years to come and they will attract more than just the 1 and dones, they've already proven that in a shorter amount of time and towards the latter part of their coaching careers and many coaches have taken note and they will probably change some of their philosophies in recruiting because of the success of Duke and Kentucky.

"One and done's" should be done. The rule is anti capitalism, anti freedom, racist, and has no real value except to the NCAA and a couple schools. People should care more about the 20 kids who'll get shot in Chicago this week than a handful of black kids who may have made the wrong decision about going pro out of high school. ....Who is more proud of their teams over the past 2 years? Wisconsin or Kentucky? just my opinion, I could be wrong
The 1-and-done rule is absolutely horrible for so many reasons. It punishes the athlete, it punishes the fans.....its completely un-American, completely un-ethical.....if you can go pro...why can't you go pro??
