Had a redcruiter call a couple weeks ago, with an opportunity with another company similiar to what I was doing before but a more focused product line.
Did the phone interview, aptitude test, and then flew to Chicago on Friday to meet face to face with National Sales Manager, COO, and Director of HR. Thought it went well with NSM, although not very many questions were asked, ok with COO. He was more probing, and getting to know me more than anything, IMHO.
The other candidate that it has been narrowed down to meets with them tomorrow. Thanks you letter's have already been e-mailed, and I was told the would definitely have an answer this week. Probably by Wednesday.
Let's keep the fingers crossed, as this sounds to me like a great opportunity, and might be the silver lining that came after my layoff. (BTW: This was unsolicited, and I was contacted by a recuiter. I said I was interested in learning and listening... got fast after that!)
