I know Bowling Green is solid, but asking them to go into Camp Randall and basically win is a very tall order. Anybody else like the Badgers here?

Been thinking the same thing. Doubt I'll play it, but it's asking a lot of BG to win in Camp Randall. One of the tougher spots in the nation to play.

I'm a big fan of Alvarez, he'll have his boys ready, just don't think the talent is as deep this year at Wisconsin.

Don't have the numbers in front of me...but I'd bet during Barry's tenure Wisky is under .500 ats at HOME.

This is the game I been waiting for weeks to bet. I just had to wait for the line to keep going down. Still have not pulled the trigger but I really like Wisconsin. I'll let the line keep going down!

I have to be honest. I have a very hard time seeing my boys win this game. There are major question marks on the offensive line. Raiola at center is the only guy I trust right now. Buenning and Clinckscale started a hell of a lot of games are were very good guards (esp. Buenning), and even Davis and Lorenz were serviceable. Suddenly there are some very green players on that O-line.

I think RB will be fine with Calhoun and Booker. Calhoun should create matchup problems as he's sort of a poor-man's Reggie Bush (at least according to the Journal Sentinel). He was a stud in HS in the Milwaukee burbs, but it's been a while since he's played in a meaningful game. Bertstein is a very good fullback.

But I just don't know if I have faith in Stocco. Last year when they made their big run to the top five, Stocco wasn't asked to do a whole lot as the defense repeatedly put them in good position. But this year he'll have to do more with the defense taking an obvious step down, and now he's got a very inexperienced line protecting him. Williams and Orr are good receivers, but they can only do so much if Stocco can't get them the ball.

This is all important because I just can't see how the Wisky D is gonna stop Jacobs. James, Hawthorne, Welsh, Jefferson, Leonhard, Starks... all huge players last year that have to be replaced. If the Badgers are gonna win, they have to be able to match scores. It's gonna be on Stocco and the O-line to make that happen, and I'm just not confident they can.

I think you're gonna see a lot of points (I'm taking the over as one of my stronger plays of week one). But I think when the fourth quarter ends, Bowling Green will have more. I'm not playing it because it's my first football season back in the state since college and I want to be able to cheer for my team. But my prediction is Bowling Green 44, Wisconsin 31.

Just saw a quote from Alvarez saying basically it will be hard for Jacobs to do much when he's standing next to his coach.

Think Wisky tries to run, run, run and run some more. If the badgers can't keep the ball out of Jacobs' hands I agree that Wisky will have a rough time winning.

Total set at 55.5 -- sounds like a play on the under is in order.

Camp Randall is a tough venue but..... since 1993 Wisconsin is 8-17-1 ATS as home favorites; last year 4-1-1 ATS HF. BG is capable of pulling an upset; the Badgers had better be focused.
