Sunday: 1-1
YTD: 10-3
I'm staying away from Totals in the future and just playing Sides.
Here's my picks for all three games:
Houston +1
Charlotte is coming off an upset victory over LA, the best team in the league, and a win to avenge last year's loss in the WNBA championships.
IMO Charlotte will come back a little flat and home court is less of an advantage for Charlotte given their poor fan support (avg = 6500).
Houston is a powerhouse again this year and the Comets have won 9 of L10 ATS vs the Sting.
I've seen Charlotte's best player Hinson listed as probable for this game, but I don't believe it since she could barely walk yesterday after spraining her ankle in the first half of Saturday night's game vs LA.
Best Bet: Phoenix -6
PHO has won all 7 match-ups ATS vs WA. Phoenix's rookie Tracy Reed scored 16 in their last game, I expect a young Washington team to falter on the road, especially with Holdsclaw out for her grandmother's funeral.
Portland +15
The Sparks are like that other team from LA -- they have trouble covering. The Sparks are 1-3 ATS so far this season, they seem to play just well enough to win. In their past four games, POR and LA have alternated winning ATS; this time it's POR's turn.
I don't think the Fire will snap the Sparks 23 straight home game winning streak, but I think 15 is too many.
