7-1 on the week/year for me as WNBA is a new outlet for my Spring.

Lines not out yet, but interesting to note before they come out, Washington is 5-0 ATS this year and the OVER is also 5-0, way over in fact.

Total hits over the opening total # by an average of 21.6 points!!!

Hoping they open another 128-132 total line here

Back with plays later....

Excellent work, Phil.

Maybe you should give up poker and just concentrate on this WNBA thing. You seem to have a knack for it. I chuckled when I first read the musings about betting on dyke ball, but after cashing a couple of tickets I'm now a believer. Hell, at least the WNBA doesn't have the scandals and refereeing inconsistencies of the NBA.

:)

Thanks Nolan. Dont get me wrong, I still think this league is a joke. Half the players have to push and jump to get the ball to the hoop from outside the arc. But when the lines continue to be set so inconsistently, I'll take it.

But in watching the highlights, it looks like the Mystics draw more than the Wizards do!

Cheers,
Phil

Well the line opened higher than I would have liked but still taking the over. Four plays today:

Washington -1.5
---over 141
Indiana/Charlotte OVER 141 (Indiana avg 74 pts on the road, Charlotte 81 pts at home)
NY -2.5 (NY 5-1 on the road ATS, Sac 0-2 at home ATS)

I must be sick because I found a scheduling play: take Sacramento and 3 over NY. NY is in their 4th game in 6 days and has played 8 games since May 29.

The WNBA should use the fact that betting is allowed on their games to their advantage. How's this for a marketing slogan:

"You tuned in for the T & A, but you'll stay for the sides and totals."

Phil --

It looks like we're in agreement. Glad to hear you're doing so well. Here's what I sent out to a couple of people earlier today:

WA -1.5 (Oly)

#1 O vs #1 D. HOU 8-0 vs WA all-time. WA 3-0 this season at home. I think WA wants this game for respect, they've had since last SUN to prepare. HOU comes off a revenge win vs CHA on Tues nite, they might be a little flat. WA should get 15,000 for this game, I like their chances at home. If WA can run, HOU can't keep up.

BEST BET: New York/Sacramento Over 133 (SIA)

This is the 4th game in a 4 game road trip for The Liberty, playing all four games in just six days. This is Sacramento's first game back at home after losing all three in a three-game road swing. The Liberty are coming off a 2PM matinee on Tuesday for tonight's 10PM start.

The Liberty are 6-2 for the season and 2-1 on this road trip but they have made some close games out of match-ups with several much lesser teams.

It might be possible that the Liberty team take the 0-4 Monarchs too lightly. But Sacramento has been really hurt by injuries with three of their top players out (Yolanda Griffith, Edna Campbell and Kara Wolters) and they are not good.

While the Liberty is a good defensive team, Sacramento is among the worst in the league on D.

What I envision in tonight's game is that the tired Liberty just try to outscore the injury-weakened Monarchs instead of resorting to playing tough D. The Monarchs can't make a shot anyway, missing 14 of their first 16 shots in Tuesdays 72-63 loss to MN.

So you end up with a final score like the NY games at POR and at SEA earlier this year: 84-62 and 78-61.

I think the Monarchs should be good for 60-65 on their home court.

So if the Liberty can score 80 we're all set.:)

POR +5.5

Minny is not a good team at home. Small crowds, 1-2 this year, 5-10 last. MN adds Tamara Moore to their backcourt but this could take a couple of games to gel. POR seems to be adjusting to life without Stiles, they've won their last 2 including a nice road win at SEA last time out. Alisa Burras is leading the league in FG% at 72%. Guard Tully Bevilaqua is back on the roster. I like Figgs at shooting guard, I think she led the league in 3 point % last year I don't know why they had her at point. MN is just not that good, they only just beat SAC at home by 9. POR should be able to stay within 5.5 and I wouldn't be surprised if they win SU.

Just noticed that OLY has significantly reduced their WNBA limits. Looks like everyone has been doing well. I've been working at nights, so I can't play much, but I have alot of buddies that have been hammering the WNBA.

Jon,

I'm pretty sure the game limits were

1K -total
2k- side

half

500 -total
1000- side

They've reduced almost everything to 300 except game side is $1k, and half side is 500.

For what its worth, I really liked POR for +5.5, but came to that conclusion right when it went OTB.

Also really like PHX for -6.

Lean to SAC +2 in FH and totally agree with your over.

Finally found a play. Playing Phoenix 1st half -3.5 for 2 unit.

Phoenix always get's out to an early lead but 2nd half lets the other team back so not going to play the whole game.

DET will also try to run with PHO as in the DET-LA game the other night. Look for second half Over.

Also I look for a low scoring first half for NY-SAC; look for Over in the second.

Sorry about POR, they just can't shoot.
