Full slate today, gotta get back on track, really on the slide lately after a strong start. Back later with plays.

*** UNDER 135 Orlando @ NY ***
Classic case here of a game I think measures up in all respects to my numbers, but something is bound to fall by the wayside given my stretch the last few days. Orlando averaging 51 points on the road, NY avg 57 at home. Even allowing for a nice margin of error, 135 looks super high here.

Indiana +5. Couple of evenly matched teams here, so as a dog lover, I'll take the points.
Phoenix -4
Washington -10
Portland -1
LA/Seattle over 143 - Seattle plays poopy defense at home.

Phil -- in case you don't go to the other place, here's what I posted there.

BEST BET: Houston/Miami Under 120.5 (opening line at Oly)

This game is a match-up of two teams with top defenses but weak and wounded offenses.

Houston has the #1 D in the league while Miami is #4.

HOU and MIA are both having real problems scoring. HOU is #16 (last) and MIA is #13 in the league in points scored per game.

MIA's scoring will be further hurt tonight as they'll be without their leading scorer, Sandy Brondello, who was hurt in that car accident last Wednesday. Miami will have Ruth Riley in the line-up again but while she'll contribute defensively and on the boards, the cast on her right hand/arm means she probably won't be much of a factor in terms of scoring. In her first game back last Saturday night Riley scored just five points (2-5 from the field, 1-4 from the line) having to shoot with her left hand, but she did get 6 boards and a block in 23 minutes. MIA could only score 69 in their last game vs ORL, who has the worst D in the league.

HOU's star Sheryl Swoopes isn't 100% either, going down with a hyperextended left knee in the second half of last Saturday's win over MN. She'll play but the knee is still hurting her.

I've capped this game at 109.

Had to sweat that out, never seen so many free throws to end a WNBA game when one team is down ten with under a minute left. Unreal. Both teams that couldnt get out of their own offensive way shoot 50% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc.

NONETHELESS, real nice work done on two unders here tonight.

Now on to the late games...

Good work Phil --

I like LA but I didn't like to see that late steam take the line down to -4.5. IMO SEA is not good. They can't stop the big plays, Lisa Leslie should have a big night tonite.

LA nearly got in trouble messing around vs SAC, I think they come out strong tonight.

Now I see why the line dropped: Lisa Leslie didn't start.

She fouled out of the SAC game in OT but didn't get hurt in that game.

Anyone know anything?
