Det Shock -4.5 over Sac Monarchs ***
repeat of lyr's final..banners,rings will be given out.Shock are most physical womans team.Top rebounding,etc..Bill Lambier coaches...Sac doesn't want to open season vs the team that just beat them.Both teams have players just returning to practice..so there play might be a little rusty. But think Shock wins this by 6-10 pts...

Tough tailing his plays cause he knows all the nicknames. I find myself scrambling trying to figure out who is who. I still have trouble in the NBA with charlotte and New orleans. Why one was the hornets and now its the bobcats and the other one is now the hornets:shrug: When box says something like " I like the Lady Stingers" i start scrambling.

WNBA Sunday...
New York Liberty -3.5 over Chicago Sky ***
The two worst teams opening up against each other.Both teams have some problems but I think Sky has a few more.NY is playing without Becky Hammon after trading her.She was my favorite Liberty player.But they drafted Davenport from Ohio St and she will make a presence inside where Liberty had none.The player that will 'rock" NY is new comer Kraayeveld.At 6'4 she can play inside and outside.liberty has a few support players but it could be another long year for them.I'm banking on Kray to make a statement today.A friend of mine who works for a sports promotion outfit in NYC says she will be an impact player in NY.Watch her today score 4 pts.
Sky is the worst defensive team in the WNBA. Worst in defending the 3,worst in shooting the 3,defense, FT%,etc,etc
They are an expansion team and this is there 2nd year.New coach,a lot of rookies,new players,etc.Think they need a few games to "gel" together.Very little depth...on the road..think Liberty should get rookie Davenport the ball and let Kraay shoot some 3's.Liberty wins this by 6-10 pts.

Sac Monarchs -4 over Minny Lynx *
small play..Sac played Det Shock tough.Lost at the end.Think there better then Minny.Minny lost there top player Augustus yesterday with a knee injury.If she is out like Monarchs even more.Small play..

WNBA had Lambier and Boucek miked up in yesterdays game on ABC.Pretty intresting listening to Bill beg for calls and Boucek in the huddle.What a good looking coach boucek is.

I can't believe I wantched some of that game.
Both teams look AWFUL.Davenport is fat and just slaps at rebounds instead of grabbing them.
I think NY would have lost had it not been for serious streak of 3's by 2 players in the late 3rd and early 4th.

I wont be playing NY anytime soon.I think they blow.We will see.

Sacr -4 over Minny lynx ***
upgrade a box or two.Sac did a nice job vs Det Shock.Minny at home will probaly play w/o there top player Augustus.She had 16 pts yest with 7 minutes left when she got hurt vs Ind .Think Lynx's offense needs her to stay with Sac tonite.

Liberty hit for a ton of 3's to win by double digits...

keygray...It's not awful when you win.but you are right.Both teams looked bad.I told you they are the two worst teams in the WNBA.Minny playing tonite is almost equal unless Augustus plays.
Davenport looked slow and cannot play any defense I still remember what Marist did to her in the NCAA's.NY still has no inside game.

LA Sparks -6 over Chicago Sky ***
Sparks lost there top scorer,rebounder,shot blocker,etc. It was Lisa Leslie who is having a bambino.but they traded for the old war horse McWilliams-Franklin a good power fd/center.She should score inside.Out on the wing they have Holdsclaw who w/o Lisa should just explode this yr.Her numbers will go up since she doesn't have to share the ball as much.Micheal Cooper is coming back as the coach and he should get them playing like he did a few yrs back.Sparks inside game should score tomorrow nite with Franklin and a few puppies in Moore and Thomas.Temeke johnson is the pt gd and I think she is playing but didn't play in any pre-season games.She avg 5 assits lyr.

Dupree is there only scorer and Currie.Think Sky will have trouble in the paint and Holdsclaw will have a breakout year.LA wins this by double digits...

Conn Storm -2.5 over San Antonio Silver Stars ***

Like Storm tonite with Sales who is a scorer.Whalen is an impact player.2 yrs ago was a superstar but last yr got hurt.She is back to her old game.Douglas can shoot and lets not fogetr are Polish 7'2 Dydek.She should avg 10-12 pts a game and 6-8 bds.But she is a presence in there.Storm has always been a good road team..
San Antonio Stars are not the Spurs...Young is tough and Liberty's Becky H can shoot.They are not a good home team and I like the Storm to win this by 10-14 pts.

LA Sparks +4 over Ind Fever **
Not a big play.Sparks have dominated this series but Lisa is no longer playing.Fever is talented with all most everyone back.Catching is great but I'll take Holdsclaw and co. to keep this close and possibly get a road win.

Wow what a fiasco that was...I called in a bet with my local on the Storm last night and gave the line at -3.5 and my guy called me today and was flippin at the line I got...Since the Stoem crushed he said it was no big deal but my line at -3.5 was way off...Whe I went back to check you r post Box I saw the Conn Storm and told him Conn Storm ---It was the Conn Suns....I thought I had a winner all day...what a bummer and a big turnaround from the plus to minus on that one...I need to get my nicknames straight for this League...:mj07:

Box knows every teams name and all there nicknames. And im talking every sport. I remember him saying something like "take the Lady Bagers" Im checking scores one night and it took me about 45 minutes to figure out who it was and what the score was.
