Just got back from the OTB.

Glad you got it ageecee. It didnt' help that one of the track handicappers came on before the race and said he was the best bet of the day. One of the connections hit him hard too - opened up at 8/5. :scared

Wheeled him in the double as well - $193.40.

You hit a double when you have the winner of the 1st and 2nd races. Its called the Daily Double. Most tracks have the DD on the 1st and 2nd races and also the last 2 races on the card.


Sharky whelled him in the double which means he bet a $2 DD with every horse in the first race and only the #5 horse in the 2nd race. Here are the examples:

2-5
3-5
4-5
5-5
6-5
7-5

As long as the #5 horse wins the 2nd race he wins the wager it doesnt matter who wins the 1st race. Hes hoping for a longshot in the 1st race to boost his DD payout.

Feels good to think you helped a couple of guys out. I don't usually bet daily doubles, but I got lucky today, and the winner in the first goes off at 13-1.
