Where it is real F ing COLD
this is what you`re worried about?...not the extra $3500 a year for health insurance?...you aren`t going to have any "appeal rights" under a single payer gov`t one-size fits all program...

what you should be worried about is not being able to make any decisions regarding your own healthcare, even if you can afford them...the government will make those decisions for you...they`ll decide...or they`ll force a hospital to palm you(or mom or dad) off on a "rehab facility" if you have any complications after a surgery instead of readmitting you to get the follow-up care you need(so they can avoid being fined by the government)....

the doctors won`t be making the call...they aren`t healers any longer...they`re govermnet employees looking at a budget sheet...

insanity...but people just aren`t aware of what`s actually going down...

This is a crock

For me (or anyone) to answer with any amount of confidence would be a good signal that I am confident in making bold statements about things where I do not have enough information.

thanks wubby...more helpful information...lol

the fundamental trouble with this post is that if you have an opinion that doesn`t jive with bobby`s liberal outlook, you are uninformed...if you agree with bobby, the majority of the time you are misinformed...damned if you do(well, you know the rest)....

currently, the customer is the patient and people make choices in consult with their doctor....in the not to distant future(it`s already happenning as we speak),the customer will be the state....and the decisions will be made by unelected bureaucrats....

i`m sure that`s fine with some...it`s unfortunate that the rest us us(and our families) will have to suffer...

I will only address this small portion because it is highly unlikely. Concierge medicine is already in place and will likely continue to grow. I think one aspect that you will continue to see expand is concierge medicine that centers around a practice mostly made up of nurse practitioners with MDs as a managing director.

I think the reaction to the plan proposed by our President is too far in both directions. The unintended consequences are my main concern. 54% of our healthcare system is already government run. This number is up to 70% in many areas.

i do not think the current administration's plan addresses many of our real problems, but it's also likely not as bad as the opposition wants you to believe.

Accountable Care Organizations = revived HMOs; they are not likely to work, overall

Thanks for the kind words, fellas
