Eric, just spoke with a friend of mine that works in Gillette Stadium, word is Cowboys really bitching about conditioned of field, not PARCELS, BUT DALLAS DEFENSIVE BACKS & RECEIVERS. no question New England would want slower field, Dallas only second game on grass this season, Tampa killed them first time.

this is probably a scenario New England learned in Tennessee last season, Patriots playe Tennessee on Monday night and, field was absolutely terrible. Michaels commented several times. Titans obviously Dr. Field to slow New England 5 receiver speed offense.

This friend is a electrician inside Gillette, and is a personal friend, take it for what it is worth, but I would back it as reliable.

Dallas is a club built on speed, Defense is under sized and very quick laterally. Offense with Galloway Bryant & Terry Glenn is about as fast as NFL offers. Some will laugh or whatever, just trying to help. With reliable information.

Good luck

shamrock--

If slow field hurt NE in TEN, how would it help them now? I understand what you are saying about DAL speed on D, but slow field would also hurt NE offense. My first thought would be Under.

all I could say about tha is Dallas entire game defensively is speed. Very small linebackers flying laterally to ball. Also I'm sure Dallas is somewhat insecure about grass, being that they don't play on it much, and when they did they performed terribly against Tampa. Psychological or not, leaving the in not 100% condition could only further help New England.

Patriots play somewhat differently than last season, branch Patton & Brown all had tremendous years getting, with Brady getting them the ball on3-5 yard routes and having huge YAC YARDS because of their speed. Patriots now throw to tight ends, rbs (specially faulk) and they also aren't scared to throw ball over the top. They have beaten Denver Miami & Tennessee Philly throwing the ball down the field. Bottom line Patriots play 90% of their games on grass, and are much more comfortable than Cowboys.
Good luck

Shamrock...

Shamrock...

thanks for the "inside info". I think [and hope] that Cowboys streak comes to a halt this evening. Have been watching the line move up all week, and it is now at -4.5.

I have Pats -4 and a few other ways too, so I hope your theory is correct...

This gets my nomination for POST OF THE YEAR, narrowly beating out Marine's "Should i take it up the keyhole?" post.

Way to go!
