Wasn't it pabla "kungfu panda" sandoval and his teammate melky cabrera who got to verlander early in the allstar game, essentially winning the n.l homefield in the world series...I think melky and pablo were then 1st and 2nd in mvp votes for the game....
So in reality melky and pablo, 2 giants players
And verlander, a tigers player
All 100% played a huge role in determining who has homefield...
I know this is random but I was thinking about it this morning.....I have always thought it was stupid how they use the allstar game as a determining factor for home field, but maybe this is a direct indication that this format can work and can become a long term solution.....
I know, randomn but thought it was strange how the biggest players were the 3 mentioned above.....will be interesting to see if it goes to a game 7 and sanfran is rocking in that stadium...
