World Series Odds

New York Yankees (+160)

The Yankees basically put the AL East on ice weeks ago and will easily win over 100 games. Their offense is fearsome, but they do have questions about starters CC Sabathia and A.J. Burnett, as neither is a proven postseason pitcher.

St. Louis Cardinals (+400)

St. Louis is the NL favorite now after making a mockery of the Central division. The acquisition of Matt Holliday was a huge boost to the lineup and the top of the rotation with Chris Carpenter and Adam Wainwright is championship caliber.

Boston Red Sox (+450)

Boston will win the AL Wild Card with Texas fading. Their offense isn?t what it once was with Manny Ramirez and a younger David Ortiz in the middle. However, this is a dangerous postseason team after winning it all in 2007 and 2004.

Philadelphia Phillies (+500)

The defending champions have put a bow on another NL East crown. Their hitting is tops in their league and the pitching has been great since the break. It?s a huge feat to repeat, but the Phillies are very good value at these odds.

Los Angeles Angels (+500)

The Angels are a solid all-around team under manager Mike Scioscia. The big difference is that the bats have moved up from 15th last year in MLB to second this year. The problem is they will face Boston in the ALDS, and the Sox have had their postseason number.

Los Angeles Dodgers (+600)

The Dodgers will hold on in the NL West over Colorado, but it?s not the blowout that everyone expected. Manny Ramirez hasn?t been dominant since his suspension and the team lacks great post-season starters.

Colorado Rockies (+1200)

Colorado has made another great run and is in very good position for the NL Wild Card. The Rockies have five legitimate starters and made the World Series in 2007. The NL is also the more likely league to have an underdog sneak in.

Detroit Tigers (+1500)

Detroit has a slight lead over Minnesota in the AL Central, but it would be a surprise if they didn?t hold on. The Tigers would be dangerous in a short, opening series versus New York as they have ace starters Justin Verlander and Edwin Jackson.

Texas Rangers (+4000)

Texas is fading fast in the AL Wild Card, but they?ve had a heck of a season and will be a team to watch next year.

San Francisco Giants (+5000)

San Francisco is still battling for the NL Wild Card, but they?re a real long shot to make the playoffs. They do have the pitching to makes things interesting if they do.

Minnesota Twins (+10000)

Minnesota is still alive for the playoffs and thus a great value at these long odds.
