I was curious what the record was of teams losing the World Series, and coming back to play the next year. Unfortunately, nothing to see here folks... [emoji53]
It's happened 26 times now with Dodgers, 13 times the returning team won, 12 times they lost. Of the 13 that won, 10 were AL, only 3 NL. The last time was 2015 with KC winning, Texas losing in 2011.
The last time an NL team won after losing was 1931 St Louis Cardinals.
