I am rooting for a Pitt appearance for sure....
but if they don't make it, I would love to see:
DETROIT VS WASHINGTON
GAME 1: Sherzer vs Strasburg
GAME 2: Price vs Zimmerman
GAME 3: Verlander vs Gio
GAME 4: Anibal vs Fister
5th starters Roark and Porcello may not see a start but even then we have two young very good arms...
I think that would be amazing to watch just for the staffs
or switch nats for dodgers
KERSHAW - Greinke - Ryu would matchup with any 1-2-3 out there...
I would also be ok with Angels vs Washington
TROUT VS HARPER
I can imagine the hype that would bring
I don't think this is the year for the cardinals........they are the most consistent franchise and are just winners in general, but this doesn't have the feel of a W.S team....at least compared to prior year teams....
pitt is the hottest team in the game, and hurdle took a rockies team with much less to the series years ago, but their lack of a true dominant 1-2 punch at the top of their rotation will most likely be what hurts
Cole is def. on his way to being a elite arm, and liriano has his moments, but compared to the staffs listed above, we just cant match up........our bullpen is the tops IMO so that could even things out but will need to hit the ball to win
Baltimore should probably favored equally to those teams, but for some reason they are not. I am guessing vegas is not a fan of their staff, similar to the pirates, but they just continue to win....
overall, I think the above four teams played have the best chances to make it
