Everyone at Madjacks knows that I usually just post my pick and rarely write anything long-winded but I have a few things to say about this game tonite..

First off some stats--Philly 9-4 ATS this year (8-0) last 8 games.
Miami 6-13 last 4 years in the month of December...

The reason I state these stats is directly related to my pick-the Miami Dolphins we all know have won their games the last few years with strong D and Ricky Williams...well in December they have historically sucked the gas pipe...why? because a running back that runs like Ricky W. gets banged up big time, and by December he has nothing left in the tank......If you seperate yourself from preconcieved notions you will see that Miami has nothing in O other than Ricky.......Philly on the other hand i feel is getting better each week-their ATS record shows it...now why Does the powers that be have MIami -3 at most sites? It is not because of home field? It is not because Miami is better than Philly is it?... Why in the world could they possibly be a 3 point favorite....The books are trying to make you believe that Phillys D is not good against the run-BS-when Philly plays a team with a star running back the play very well agaist them...another way of putting it Philly controls one dimentional offensive teams very well the coaching battle goes to Philly--The Qb battle goes to Philly-why the line opened at 1.5 and moved to 3 is really making me believe this is one of the mystical Miami at home shit that a lot of square bettors believe...I love Philly +3 here and would have taken them if they were -4! I am putting 10 units on them

Like the pick but wanted to offer a little more info....

A lot is being said about the Fins in December and rightfully so as they are 0-5 ON THE ROAD in December over the last two seasons.....BUT tonight's game is a HOME GAME where they have won all four December home games over the last two seasons.

4-5 IS NOT A GOOD DECEMBER RECORD FOR ANYONE, BUT 4-0 AT HOME IS!!!!

Philadelphia will have to overcome an 0-5 all-time record in Miami to come away with the win it needs.

JUST INFO TO CONSIDER WHEN MAKING FINAL CHOICE.....

-I hate to tell you homeWrecker but since 1993 Pilly has played Miami only three times total and won once (in Philly)--I do not give a lot of cred to that 0-5 lifetime when it goes beyond 15 years ago to get that record--I do not disregard it but is not huge-if you told me they were like 0-10 total last ten that would be different..........fwiw

Trends are nice to use, BUT only if they are within a couple of years (i.e. Seahawks suck on the road). But what in the hell does the 1994 Eagles lossing to the Dolphins have to do with tonights game:shrug:

Give me the Eagles and Give them to me BIG w/out Fiedler.

Been following your picks for a while, and even w/o write-ups have done pretty well - Thanks. Thus, the question is: Why the write-up????

My guess is that you only say things when they are worth saying. And I think what you said is dead on.

My lean at the beginning of the week was on the phins, but being new to this business I sometimes get trapped by the vegas experts. And this to me looks like one of those traps with the public all over Miami.

On Philly with ya brother!!!!!

Hope it is a trap avoided.

worm, i don't understand what you were saying by hating to tell me that they have only played 3 times since 93, what does that have to do with the stats i posted??? anyway, i agreed with your pick hence the "like the pick" comment....i played philly +3 and the over 36...will probably play the over in 2h as well...
