I like it too for few reasons but i actually may not bet it. Here is the good news. The USC offense will be better than it has shown so far in the year. Starting FB Brandon Hancock is back from injury and he was tearing it up in practices before he got injured. MAJOR threat out of backfield. Also, Chow will start to open up the playbook more since its 1st pac 10 game and Lienart has gotten his feet wet. Lastly, this is a statement game for the Trojans and they will be fired up to play.

The bad news, CAL SCARES ME. Not talent wise, not even coaching wise (i think USC has best coaching staff in nation) but CAL just seems to play USC tough. Tedford is a great coach, and he def. will have his team ready to play. CAL has this game circled, and its there biggest game of the year next to Stanford of course. Last year CAL jumped on USC @USC 21-0 before USC made strong comeback and won. This is still young USC team, who we still are not quite sure on how good they are.

USC will beat CAL 41-10 if Lienart is on his game uses the "many" "many" weapons around him. But remember, its only Lienarts 4 game in his career and on road. Lastly, Pete will play reserves and even the backups, so if USC has 20pt lead, watch out for meaningless CAL TD and USC will just run ball to eat clock. Pete is class act coach.

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!

How much do the following factor into this? Not only should USC be fresh coming off a bye but Cal is already playing their 6th game and its still September! They've got to be close to that point where they're starting to lose their legs, no? Just wondering how much you guys think this will positively affect a USC play.

USC health is fine, no major injuries. USC is getting Hancock back, and the bye has allowed freshman to catch up to speed. WHITNEY LEWIS (#1 WR out of high school last year) has looked good and may finally have a role in a game but Pete Carroll moved him to FB and RB because we are simply loaded at WR. Tell me how a LB is going to cover Whitney Lewis? Scary.

USC also practiced hard during the bye so i do not expect them to come out sluggish or rusty.

Just thought you would like to know that Lienart has looked real sharp in practices this week and the team looks ready to play. Freshman phenom Whitney Lewis also looked great in practice and he should have his coming out party this Sat. SOOOO many offensive weapons at USC.

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!
