That there 8 hoss was smoking down the stretch. Win or lose, including that 8 on two of your tickets was a good decision.
I've been to the Belmont Stakes many, many times - at the track, that is. Always loved that day at Belmont. And that goes from the first time I was there and beat the hoss going for the Triple Crown, Canonero II. BIG, fun-loving crowd there that day, waving South American flags and all. That beautiful Summer day was one of the most enjoyable days I ever had at the wacetwack for sure. Man, I'm really dating myself. :0046
I'll write this part again around here someplace - but Belmont Day is beat-the-favorite day for me. And the best time to do it is when the Belmont favorite is going for the Triple Crown.
Didn't work out so well when I tried to beat a hoss named "Secretariat" on Belmont Day though. :chairshot
That wasn't the case in 2002 .... .. the greatest winner I EVER caught and I've "betted" a ton of races. It was a $5 bet on one horse only and it turned into a sack of greenbacks. BTW that was online from Fla.
Good Luck to you, DZ
