Actually, you know who is worse than him? That chick that commentates on some of the college football games for ESPN.....she is the most idiotic, stupid person ive ever listened to during a game.......does not belong on there whatsoever.......

get me the gun ctownguy, Im there, LOL, it's like him and mc guire have it scripted to argue, its like the 2 of the fawkin 3 stooges, It is funny sometimes, but these guys rarely add much insight, we know dallas has a good defense, we know carter has adjusted this year,LOL, and they treat those fawkin 1st down ball spots like they're a comedy act, man oh man

whats weird is that a lot of terrible coaches make great commentators.

john cooper is a very good x's and o's guy.

bob davie is an extremely bright defensive mind.

both couldnt coach worth a damn but are great additions to the espn booth

with all due respect Gman, but I don't know what john cooper you have listened too, but unless he has had a complete makeover he is one of the worst color commentators on TV.

Yep, and what capped it off for me was a month or two ago, on some no name game I was watching on the ESPN TICKET thing, where you get all the games, she was commentating:rolleyes: and right after a really good play she makes a comment about the home team's band uniforms and the color--WTF!?!? I wanted to reach thru that screen and B*ch slap her!

was more referring to cooper as a bright x's and o's guy. ive heard him make many sharp observations. hes not the most loquacious guy youll ever see and hes certainly not a good coach, but i can handle him in the booth.

davie is the one im impressed with. if you read his stuff on espn.com and if you listen to him talk, its really surprising he wasnt able to succeed at notre dame.

I can see you point on Davie, but I think he has shown why he didn't make it as a HC, he seems to be too much of a mild mannered type personality and I don't think he could relate too well with players at the college level.

Too cerebral

Cooper is another story, guess we will just disagree on that one.:D
