Gotta give alot credit here...to the likes of Walter Rodgers and Nic Robinson who are pretty much the closest to the front lines as you can get(for a civilian)

I dont think I would ever think about taking that job - no matter what the pay. Give me an M16 and some Kevlar and I`ll go in...but from the looks of it - they dont wear Kevlar  fawking crazy if you ask me.

This Walter Rodgers fella I guess is with teh 7th Cav - and they just had a little battle with the Republican Guards and I guess some shells landed by him. fawk that lol

It's the gutsiest thing to do as a reporter.......I would say it would look good on their resume when looking for bigger bucks and better positions in the news world....

It's a tough job & they are doing a great job in showing the American people what is going on in iraq. I remember during the Viet Nam War how the reporters were right in the thick of the battle. That appeared to be brutal. A good movie that shows what the reporters went through in the Nam war was a movie that came out a few years ago with Mel Gibson."We Were Soldiers" is based on a true story about the first battle in the Nam War. The movie is based on a book by the reporter who was with the unit during this battle. Great movie & highly recommended.
