...for the Packers D for the next two weeks?

Here's how the match-ups play out the for the playoffs with fantasy points against according to my league's scoring:

San Fransisco DEF
Week 15 - @NE... 1.38 fpa(best)... 1.5 fpa@H(best)
Week 16 - @SEA... 6.46 fpa(10th best)... 4 fpa@H (2nd best)

Green Bay DEF
Week 15 - @CHI... 8.77 fpa (9th worst)... 8.14 fpa@H
Week 16 - TEN... 10.08 fpa (6th worst)... 7.85 fpa@R

fpa = fantasy points against
fpa@H = fantasy pts against at home
fpa@R = fantasy pts against on the road

Green Bay should be getting Matthews and Woodson back this week, but that's not 100% yet.

Other DEF options with decent match-ups in weeks 15 & 16:
San Diego (CAR, @NYJ)
Arizona (DET, CHI)
Miami (JAC, BUF)

Others may have the Detroit DEF @AZ as an option this week and Cincy DEF @Phi is a nice matchup too (neither are available is this particular league)

In the playoffs, when the best fantasy teams face off, it can be little tweaks to your lineup that make or break your season. :00x32
As good as SF has been, it's time to cut bait, no?
I'm sure others must be debating this as nobody wants a piece of the Pats in Foxboro on SNF. :scared

If you go for the Packers D you are banking that Cutler and Chicago will again have a bad game against a Green Bay D that has gotten consistently worse over every week of the season. Never sit you studs and San Fran has done very well for you. I don't like GB going into Chicago this week at all. An opinion but a solicited one, so there you have it.

Hope that helps,
FDC

I appreciate it FDC. Clay Matthews is back, so I don't know if that changes anything for you. Chicago's O-line is one of the worst in the league. Woodson is still out though.

If you noticed in the first Petey's league, I picked up the Lions D to play against the Cards this week and plan to bench the 49ers there. It's always a gamble benching your studs, but in the playoffs, when the match-ups are tight, I prefer to go for the sure points rather than gamble that a really good defense can stop the best offense in the league. Upside for 49ers is about 10pts, but the downside is negative points. A team like the Lions is getting me 8 points minimum. I still don't know about the Pack over the 9ers, but you make some good points in favor of the stud D. Keep in mind, they are just the 4th best defense, so I don't know how "studly" they really are.

Well at this point in the season and as late as it is, only having three teams better than yours is pretty studly. Also, the Bears now have a fully healthy Alshon Jeffery and their O-line has played better as of late. I am a Bears fan and I know that may make you think it skews my view of it but I think you have better options than either one to be honest. The Bear receivers have literally just dropped no less than 5 TD passes in the the last three games that would have won or tied the game. Against far better defenses. I would look to pick up Cincy or Detroit. I would even consider SD who will score some defensive points this week.
I don't think you can count on 8 from the Pack.
