I don't know why Cutler is worried about his football contact. 15 million is chump change compared to the deal he is expected to pull in as the new Marlboro Man.

personally I think it's a no brainer but depends on the price.....20 mil....cant afford it....12-15....yes

I think a 4-6 game absence actually decreases the bears possible cost

Fuck no, the guy sucks, Bear fans are delusional. I mean delusional

I'd much rather have Cutler than a bunch of the clowns starting in the League right now.

As a Bears fan, we pretty much have no choice. The injury might help take a few bucks off the table for a new deal but who the hell are you going to get for next year that would be better? There will be a lot of 1st round QB's (there should be at least) but it's never easy to ask them to succeed & step in right away. There are too many holes on our team especially on defense. If we don't resign Cutler, they basically are saying it's rebuild mode time & Bears fans aren't going to stand for that. Also, Marshall has been pretty great attitude-wise since coming over ... I would assume having his buddy Jay alongside of him. If Cutler goes, Marshall very easily goes off the deep end.

Here's what I see for a yearly record when Cutler has been with Chicago, and his int's and lost fumbles:
2009 ? 7-9, 26 ints, 1 lost fumble
2010 ? 11-5, 16 ints, 6 lost fumbles, playoffs, lost conference championship
2011 ? 8-8, 7 ints, 3 lost fumbles
2012 ? 10-6, 14 ints, 4 lost fumbles
2013 ? 4-3, 7 ints, 3 lost fumbles
Totals: 39-30, 70 ints, 17 lost fumbles, 1 playoff appearance

No, I would not resign him.

Exactly, you aren't making the playoffs with him, so what's the difference in not making them without him...get someone else.

39-30 isn't his record with the bears.....there's about 5 caleb hanie losses mixed in there from 2011 + a few Jason Campbell's mixed in

and I love the "get rid of him, he sucks" guys......like we're debating brady or manning or brees or cutler......hmm, lets take cutler.
get rid of him and it's more like Jason Campbell, henry burris, kyle orton, craig krentzel, etc

They are going to have to develop a QB, cutler is just false hope

like ponder?

he is the guy they're developing with trestman and he was top 5 in almost every qb stat prior to sunday.....but i'll digress to your comment specifically.....they have nobody to groom and who is you're qb while you "groom" and who are you picking to "groom" while the entire defense has been exposed as major overhaul of talent.

I didn't say it was his record, I said it was the Bears' record since he has been with Chicago. You are correct about 5-8 of the wins/losses aren't his.

I hears in nbc radio the bears have lost 8 of 9 when cutler missed a start or was injured before halftime, so his record is 38-22 when he starts and plays at least a half
