Where it is real F ing COLD
Yes I have done it. I had no problem with it, but I will say I had used this book for a couple years already, they said they had a new policy. I think I even asked Jack about it in an email. He said no big deal, I guess maybe I should be more worried but have had no problems

Well I honestly think it's for their own good. I get why they do it, it protects them. And in this case it helps them sort out the mystery of a possible duplicate account (hey we like Cie, but they don't know him from adam)

As for credit card fraud, consumers already have tons of state-side protections. I don't personally see how sending a photograph of me holding a card protects me even more. My concern for my credit card being stolen and used online to gamble overseas is somewhere slightly below being struck by lightening.

I still like 1vice though! :0008

You give out your SS# to every tom, dicky and harry these days. Giving a picture of you and your legitimate ID to an offshore shouldn't be an issue.

I travel to Latin America frequently. In every country I have been to they give their id's everybody. They ask me for my passport, I simply hand them an old drivers license from another state and they accept it. They do make a copy of your passport when checking in to a hotel. No way around that one if you want a room. Very uncommon for us but everyday business for Latin American countries.

I hear ya. I do recall having to give my hotel in costa rica a copy of my passport.

Call me weird, but I don't give out SSN all that often.

I'm with you Cie...and anyone that gives ssn to any sportsbook deserves what they get. Is no reason for any sportsbook to ask for ssn.

I think a lot of hoopla depends on how account is funded. Most of my accounts were funded back in netteller days..can't ever remember funding an account with CC.

Closed account last week at Wagerweb and they asked for nothing and had money gram sent in 2 days and that was 1st money transfer with them since since Boozer was their lines maker maybe 7 or more years ago. Might note reason for closing account was they cut wayback on golf offers..no knock on sportsbook.

Did have to jump through a few hoops with Pinnacle this year when they closed accounts with U.S. IP addys but that was because when I moved back from Canada I forgot to change address in profile.:SIB
