That's going to piss a few people off. They're up 38-0 with less than 3 to go and they kick the FG???? :mj07: So much for winning with class. The game is long over. Just run a play and if you turn the ball over, big deal. If you get the first down just keep running plays and the clock will run out. It's not like the Jets were going to try to stop the clock. I had Jax -6.5 and I'm glad they won, but I just lot A LOT of respect for Del Rio.

Yeah, I'm sure a lot of people on the over were happy with it. It's just an incredibly classless thing to do, and it's also incredibly stupid. If the Jets have any players that are capable of dirty play that right there gives them an excuse to go after someone. Not saying it's right, but I've seen it happen before. It also gives the Jets fuel for the fire the next time they play Jax. Just an unbelievable decision by Del Rio as far as I'm concerned.

I agree GQ, Del Rio has never been accused of being a rocket scientist-sometimes they revet back to the playing days and don't think like a coach.

Well, I'm not even sure if you could characterize what the Jets were doing as trying to score. That game was over before halftime and the Jets were pretty much no threat to score at the end there. Don't get me wrong, one of my biggest pet peeves is when teams quit on games. I think as a player you should bust your ass all game. But as a coach there is a code you play by. Don't show up the other team when the game is out of hand. In that situation when you're up by 38 with less than 3 to play, it's hard to see much validity in tackling on another 3 points other than to be a pompous prick. Maybe Del Rio was still pissed that he lost last week? Just my opinion...
