Went down to the City Hall to cast my absentee
Ballot today. Was awed by what i saw. The whole 5th floor was 3 wide with new voters registering to vote. Outside the whole block was lined with vans and busses full of new and early voters. A sea of humanity. A 90 year old lady on crutches and oxygen that collapsed multiple times before she got to vote wore her Jerry/Edwards button proudly. Guess her time left on this earth was short but she wanted to get this in before she left us. The crowd was predominantly young, black, asian, unemployed, disabled students and elderly. I talked to maybe a dozen plus people but it was my sense that these were all John Kerry people...and not just the few i conversed with. If this is going on nationwide........Bush/Chaney are toast. There is even slippage amonst Evangelkicals here as evidenced by some Yuppie suburban polls.
Warmed my heart to see America once again rising up to free itself from the cabal of neo-cons now in the White House.
Help may indeed be on the Way!!!!!!!!!!!

Just the voters we need deciding who needs to be in the white house. Probably the least informed group in the states who pay the least amount of taxes and all they want is more handouts from a democratic pres. And Kerry will give it to them and raise taxes on the people that actually pay taxes and work for a living.
Just what we need!
VOTE BUSH

Being young...you were young at some stage.
Being unemployed...you were unemployed at some stage (also, hasn't Bush had 4 years to fix this problem)

Blacks...that's their fault.

Asians are some of the smartest most diciplined people in the world.

Picking on the disabled is just rediculous.

And you will be old at some stage.

Your ignorance scares me as an American.

Freeze,

Isn't the the EXACT SAME THING as rich people who don't care about social/world issues voting Republican because they make six-figures+ and will get bigger tax cuts?

I went to dinner with three friends tonight. All three made 305k this year. I.... uh.... didn't. The election came up. None of the three really care about politics. They aren't conservative or liberal. They aren't Demorcrats or Republicans. They have opinions on a lot of issues, but they don't care about any of them as far as voting was concerned.

One of them asked me, verbatim, "So which guy will make me more money?"

I answered, "With your salary, Bush."

All three looked at each other and said they were going to vote for Bush because of that. None had given the election much thought before that.

I've got no problem with that. People should vote on what they care about. But don't start spewing shit about low-income people voting Democrat because they thing it will help them out money-wise when the rich do the exact same thing.

How big of a handout did Haliburton get? Mr. Rick Jack
Ever hear of corporate welfare??????? Ever go to school sir???
Every one in this country has value from the lady that cleans bedpans in a hospital to the migrant thet picks ur produce..and i suppose the overppaid CEOs have some value too. Its this Republican arrogance that stems from inferiority complexes that really gets my gander up. If any of the components in our society
disappeared we would collapse. Try doing without your garbage man for a couple of weeks. Grow up!!!!!!!!

And furthermore mr Rick jax in ur opinion the young, black, asians, unemplyed, disabled, students and elderly should not have a voice in our government??? U should add corporations that pay no taxes also. And they get the biggest handouts of all.

isn't it their money?

you seem to think that all earned money is the government's money.

no, earned money is your money.

when people start voting themselves other people's money, democracy will cease to exist

I see it a tie. But If I was President and that happen again. Less then 50% of the vote. I would get the message and retire. At Once.

I was under the belief that each citizen of the United States had a right to vote since when does it matter on your income, race, creed, religion or age?

Yeah, but BJ, the important question is who picked up the tab?

If your big dollar republican friends are like my big dollar republican friends, then I'll bet that when your three buddies saw the server coming with the check all of sudden those beers got to them and they were heading to the can.

I mean the reality is that maybe those of us who still believe in the goodness of mankind are really naive. It's getting more and more like f*** your buddy before he f***s you, speed up so the guy next to you doesn't get ahead, and cheat if you don't get caught its okay.

Thanks President Bush for uniting, and not dividing this country.

Eddie

there used to be certain qualifications before your vote could get counted.

You had to:
1. Register in advance.
2. Find your way to the polls.
3. Show some form of identification.
4. Show some proof of your residence.
5. Read your ballot.
6. Punch a hole through the ballot.

Then and only then were you competent enough to vote.

Hopefully we can get all these qualifications taken away.

Someday in our dream American the Rev. Jesse Jackson can vote for all those disenfranchised folks he represents. We will just let him pick a number and go ahead and tell us how many he thinks will vote and whom they will vote for.

RickNJax - Another Angry White Male who wants to blame his F*cked up Life on someone else - someone different than him.

If he had his way neither Blacks or Women would be voting at all.

What a complete ass.

Meanwhile we have DR FREEZE - recipient of God knows how many Student Loans subsidized by the tax payers constantly whining about all that money the government takes from him.

Pathetic.

Freeze never seems to get it that nobody makes themselves rich all by themselves in this country. People working onthe front lines for Richie Rich are helping hm MAKE all this money and they deserve a decent wage, health care and the ability to retire when they get too old to work.

Why, I wonder how many of Freeze's patients could afford to sit in his waiting room if the government wasn't picking up a lot of the tab to pay his exorbitant fees? Does the Doctor turn sick people away? Did he take the "Hippocritic" Oath?
