But I think it is all over. No more online books soon, no way to fund them, and not worth the trouble.

I have been gambling online for 10 years now and never had a local. I have friends that go through a bookie, but they dont have the options or ease that I have had by betting online........

Nice ****ing country.....and nice ****ing president.

If what the fuking republicans want is for a guy like me to become a bookie myself, then they may get their wish.....I had thought about booking action for awhile now, and this may push me enough to give it a go.

When will our government get it? This is the same as freakin weed or whatever......people are gonna gamble and people are gonna smoke pot. Just ****ing tax the shit........just dont tell me what I can do with my money. I gamble.........I dont hurt anyone, and I pay my ****ing bills. I dont smoke weed, but I have known people who do.......they arent bad dudes........and they dont hurt anyone........**** the government.......this is bullshit.

Pretty soon this site will probably be bust, or at least pointless.....I hope not, but probably true

This will be George Bush's greatest legacy to us and our children:

He shut down off shore sports betting so Joe 6 pack couldn't blow some of his dough as he wishes

He made it harder for Joe Doob and Cancer patients who want to get the munchies to get weed without buying it on the street corner.

So the Mafia is back on business and stronger than ever.

By the way, the worst part of this is waiting until your bookie opens at 10:35 on Saturdays to take college football bets.

Dont forget all of the kids that have died in a "war" that really serves no purpose........

Gotta love that ****ing moron Bush.

Yeah it is getting pretty ridiculous now, I was registered Republican years ago when I old enough to vote, but have voted Democrat or not at all for awhile now, seems like Bush has taken this party to a whole new level.

What really sucks on top of that is that the Democrats haven't had a good leader to inspire the masses for awhile now... I think Obama may have it, but will have to listen to him speak more over the course of the next year. I think South Carolina has one of the earliest primarys now for the Presidential Election, so many get to help knock out some bad beats.

Tough having your whole family except your sister be republicans and work for republican congress people and being a closet Democrat, because there isnt much to be excited about on their side either....

DBMUTZ.........That's a cheap way out. If I read it correctly, you don't think it matters, Rep or Dem, the reulsts will be the same. If so, you are just willing to let go, and recognize the fact that you were part of the Bush Legacy. It does make a difference, and as soon as these hanger-oners have the balls to step up and make a change, we arre all going to continue to see our rights slowly erode, as well as more kids being killed in a worthless war. When has the Democratic Party ever stepped into your life and told you what you should do with it? C'mon, you don't have to tell your daddy that you have wised up and are going to vote for the good of the country and its psople, just go into the little box and vote the way your heart tells you. At this point, if it still tells you Republican, then I can see why you have posted a picture of Hitler.

You guys really think the Feds would have let online gambling go on forever? Regardless of who's in office, government entities have already started going after lost taxes from online purchases. This all sucks to high heaven and I'm by no means trying to make a lame attempt to defend any political party here, but this was inevitable. I think those losing the most money here will figure out a way around it. With the poker craze and the overall increase in gambling activity of all sorts, this was bound to happen. If it makes you feel better to have someone or something to focus your rage on, knock your socks off. Like how kids dying is being thrown into the mix to put some kind of "weight" behind the anger about gambling. Bet you Vegas, the den of all vices, is able to sleep well at night.

Ok im not real happy about this either.. But comparing a guy who took away internet gambling to another who tried to take over the world and wipe out an entire race of people is ridiculous

You guys act like it's the end of the world. I have several locals that use an online format and I have all the options you have with Pinn or Carib. The only reason I feel bad is because I know it's a big source of income for MJ and he has a great place that I have been going to for a while now and wouldn't want anything to happen to it. But, I have no problem with our government trying to keep all of those billions within our borders.

I sent my first money ever offshore in either 93-94 and have always used it but not for the majority of my wagers. I would rather have my bankroll in my bank earning interest instead of sitting in some offshore account doing nothing but earning others interest.

I don't know much at all about politics, but I know that money is behind just about every decision. I have no idea why we're in Iraq, but I can guarantee its mainly b/c of money. Probably a link to Israel in there. I have a friend who is from egypt and he says USA does whatever Israel wants us to do and its basically b/c of money. Now this guy is a muslim and hates Israel so who knows what the truth is....I just think there is "some" truth to it.

Why the hell are we over there? Oil? Gas prices are still really high. They went extremely high, then finally came down some and everyone is ok with it. "At least its not over $3 now". What bullshit.

Also, I've never voted in my life. Why should I? For one, I don't know a lot about either. They both lie and make false promises. Just b/c republicans did this, if there was a democrat, we'd still have crap. Prob. way more abortions and more welfare for people who aren't working. Its all crap.

Not to mention, I work 8-5 and a part time job. I really have no desire to waste my free time learning about politics to go and make an informed decision when its mostly crap candidates and my vote counts about .000000000001% of the outcome.

Also, its the way Bush and everyone right now is doing things.

Its bullshit. Tell us why we are in Iraq getting people killed. Does anyone know? Tell me why I'm paying so much for gas.

I just think that of all the presidents, Bush is just a horrible liar. They aren't making up believable stories.

And, how about the way this internet gambling is being handled??? Attaching a gambling bill to a war bill b/c its the only way to get it passed? Man, they can go fuk themselves.

Not to mention, if you want to do it...go ahead. Set up an alternative. We have state lotteries. My state's lottery got passed b/c they waited for 2 people to be out sick and then called a re-vote. Those 2 people were against it, and thats how it passed. Democracy at work baby.

Just put online gambling in USA. You don't even have to tax it. Just use the juice, etc. that the books are making and put it towards education, roads, etc.

Not to mention, if gambling is taxed...doesn't it even out, more or less. If I make $1,000 and Joe loses $1,000...can't Joe claim a loss? I guess it would just depend who is in the higher tax bracket.

I think Bush is dirty as hell and also that he has no control. All he is doing is trying to figure out ways to justfiy things he has no control over.

I mean, it does kind of make sense that Israel says "go to war with Iraq" and Bush has to say "yes sir"
He has to do it and just can't think of a good justifiable reason.
So, its "weapons of mass destruction"
Oh, no wait....we want freedom for Iraqis. Um, hold on....no we want oil. Nah, can't use that. Terrorism, yeah just say terrorism.

I think I'm going to play through the super bowl and then take my money out and see how things shake up around late August.

And, like someone mentioned about pot. I have no desire to smoke pot.

But its amazing that I am allowed to go to a bar and get hammered, leave at midnight and need to get home. I never drive, but I know people who do.
Yet some hippie is at home minding his own business and smokes a joint and thats illegal b/c Uncle Shithead isn't getting his cut.

Since Mussolini, however, there have been many conflicting definitions of the term "fascism." Merriam-Webster defines fascism as "a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

A system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with belligerent nationalism.

T D J C ,Many of us agree with your views,Unfortunately the big money always wins,Just ask JFK :com: but that's another story,Hopefully one day you work yourself out of one of those two jobs and can relax

Yeah, the part time job isn't that big of a deal. I was just making a point that I do work over 40 hours a week and I don't know much about politics.

Overall, its not a big deal that I don't vote. But I'm so sick of everyone telling me that I must vote. Believe me, I love the fact that I have the right to vote. I don't want that taken away. But, I also have the right not to vote.

Why in the world do most people insist that uninformed people vote? They say, "it doesn't matter who you vote for, it just matters that you get out and vote". Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard, but I've heard it from hundreds of people.

When I give them the "uninformed" argument, they say "well you should become informed".

So, thats why I said, I'm not using my precious time to wade through all the lies and bullshit and decide if Coke or Pepsi is worse for our nation. Because all you are doing is choosing the guy (or Hillary) who is not the worst out of the 2.

And, what if Shasta is really the best choice. Well then I'm really throwing my vote away b/c everyone else is voting for either coke or pepsi.

Honestly, I don't care that much if people say I should vote. It doesn't keep me up at night. lol.

Its just that I've heard it so many times, and I think I have a great argument.

On that note, I might actually register and vote democrat this time. I hate it all but have always slightly leaned republican.

I'm just sick of all this crap with Bush and its hard to think it could get worse going with a dem. this time.

That's wonderful for you. A lot of guys don't have "locals". A lot of guys don't know the first thing about getting one. A lot of guys might not want the trouble that can come with a local, either.

That being said, you are right.....it's not the end of the world. It wouldn't be the end of the world if they did away with fast food joints either, but it sure as hell would be an inconvenience to a shitload of folks.
