Cheaters and scammers are generally frowned upon, so you can pretty much figure that if they catch it, you will not be paid.

Just saw your second post. Don't be too surprised if they catch it in a few hours, a few days or a few weeks and take their money back. The only thing that I ask is that you don't come crying when it happens.

Wisher,
Do whatever you think is fair.

Teddy,
What is confusing you about this 'convo'? Seems pretty clear cut to me.

Teddy,

There must be something screwed up with your computer, or the forum, or something, but I see why you were confused.

His first post said (before the exact details were edited) that he bet a tennis match(Kuerten) at Olympic after the first set was won by Kuerten and he wondered if he would get paid.

I see you put your post back up. If you're talking about last night's Yankee's game that you bet after they had the lead, yes, you're wrong and shouldn't have played the game.

How would you have liked it if you bet before the game started, the yankees took the lead and the book took the game off the board? No different. They would have cheated you. You tried, and did, cheat them. Not to mention that you'll probably get caught and banned from playing there again.

ok, i was guessing but i was close.

wisher.....you can't do that. really....it isn't honest and it'll come back and bite you in the ass. at least, that's how i feel.

i would tell them that you impulsively made a bad decision and dont deserve the 'win'. tell them, that after thinking about it, you felt bad for taking advantage of them. that's the RIGHT thing to do.

jack and kosar are right, you wouldnot like it if it happened to you, tell them you think you played it after it started and let them handle it.

What if Wisher had lost the game. Do you think the book would have given him his money back?

well if i was the book,i would probley question why someone bet into a game that had started even though it was my mistake.
i would say you can take the l and keep playing,or i will get rid of the play and you should look for a new book.
wisher did the right thing and they stood behind the mistake and gave him the win. but to ask for money back if it didnot cover and it was bet well past start time i would stand firm on what i said.
