So Cal
The time zone factor LOL

IMO the better Head Coach will win .
M.Holmgren is the better coach.

Seahawks OL is great & WR's are very capable and 4 or 5 deep!
D.Jackson, B.Engrem, J.Juravicos(I know I butchered it)
Hackett, and TE J.Stevens . If Hasslebeck has time to throw the ball he will go for 300yds 3TD kind of game.

If Seattle can make the Steeler's one dimensional and take away the run they will win easy.

No way I could put my money on Cowher in big pressure situations.

I think that Pitt is the choice in this one.

Seattle's road to the SuperBowl was far easier than the Steelers.

To discount the Steelers playoff win over Cincy is insane. Kitna had a 14 for 20 first half , I believe. No other QB would have done better.

Beat the "dream team of destiny", Indy. If Indy beats Pitt and DENVER, what do you think the SB line would be???

Seattle played a weaker regular season schedule.
SF twice
ARIZ twice
ST LOU twice
2, 3 & 4 point wins over: ATL, DAL, SF NYG and TENN

Seattle is 5 - 3 away from home. Losses @ GB, WASH, & JAX.

Steelers 9 - 2 on the road , with playoff wins @ DEN, INDY & Cincy.

SEA 3 -4 -1 ATS AWAY from home
PITT 9-2 ATS AWAY from home

Only 1 team in the last 10 weeks was able to out produce PITT on the field. That was INDY.

Seattle was out-yardaged 3 times in the last 10 games, and less than 50 yards better , 4 additional times.

So, 7 out of last 10 games , they were out gained , or with-in 50 yards of being outgained.

Seattle has had a good year, but hasn't been a dominate team, even against a less than stellar schedule.

Pittsburgh is on a mission. They have a swagger that punch Seattle in the mouth, from the kickoff. Seattle hasn't seen an aggressive Cower offense.

DoubleDown has it right, let his post speak for itself! You will be a big fool if you don't take at least Pitt on the money line as they will WIN!!!

I don't understand why they would get there so early.......6 days before is a long time.

Whatever the case.....

My logic is strict to what I have seen Pitt be able to do against tough competitors, and improve.

Seattle played well against Carolina, But lets face it Pitt is a complete team where Carolina plainly isn't.

My logic is laid out from what I've seen Pitt accomplish in the past month. They seem to keep impvroving..

As far as Cower vs, Seattle coaches face off, I think it would be unfair to say that the best coach will determine the outcome of the game. Both are very good and well respected coaches, and that's a factor of why their team is here.

It's going to come down to who wants it most, and who can play deffense......We all know who can play deffense.....and we all know who can score at will against a good D....

This is def a HUGE PLAY for me and I'm basing it off of what I've seen from both teams.....I will def play the Pitt ML for at least 1000

1)Bettis is going home running game is going to be solid.

how does that have any implication on Pitt being able to run the ball against Seattle a top 5 run defense

4) Seattle is going to a different time zone, and do not play well against east coast teams out of thier time zone.

I posted this before

And what evidence do you have that Seattle plays bad against East coast teams they went 6-2 against East Coast teams this season. Excluding the last three games because they had home field wrapped up. One of the East Coast losses were Wash and well they beat Wash when it mattered the most. And to get to the SB they had to beat two east coast teams.

Just a litte curious of what kind of logic you used for that?

this has been a favorites season in the NFL, and while Seattle could easily be favored in this game (making my pit bet easier) they are not. My experience betting 3 and 3.5 point favorites this year has been a pleasurable one. My experience betting 3.5 point dogs has not been. The right team is favored for a reason: to make you think the "better team" the #1 seed, is mistakenly underdogs. Make no mistake about it.

The only money I've made this season betting on the "wrong team being underdogs" was on Carolina the last 4 games they played. I was right in 3 of them, but that was a case of an underachieving team hitting its stride. Seattle has NOT been tested and the line is begging for some seattle money here. Pitt wins by at least a TD
I dont care if Clem and Worm both bet on Seattle and get together to watch the game in their longjohns, my $ is on the steelers.

Buck i you haven't given your opinion on any game in 60 some posts, :nono: now your favorite team is in the super bowl and all of the sudden your a handi-capper. :talk: Can't you just sit back and watch the game and then come on here any say I told you so like the Denver game. Not sure which side or total I'll be on but one thing is for sure I will give more consideration to both sides before I make my decision.

And whadduya know, one last favorite covers to round out what MUST be close the biggest season for NFL favorites EVER!! The "wrong team favored" philosophy got the average bettor NOWHERE this season.

With the explosion of sports betting online I think NFL lines have become a little more honest, as opposed to the inflated stuff we have seen in past years. So many games this year where I couldnt explain why a team was only 3 point favorites when similar spots are usually 7 point lines. The result: big money for favorites all season long.

Moral of the story for 2005 NFL? If you thought the wrong team was favored, and it looked too good to be true, it probably was
