Have they announced the ump crew yet? Would appreciate someone posting it as soon as they do.

NEW YORK (TICKER) -- Randy Marsh has been named as the crew chief for the 2006 World Series, Major League Baseball announced on Friday.

The Detroit Tigers will host the St. Louis Cardinals in Game One of the World Series on Saturday night.

Marsh, who is in his 25th year as an umpire, will be on the field for his fifth World Series, the last one coming in 2003, when he also served as crew chief.

Marsh's crew will include Tim McClelland, John Hirschbeck, Mike Winters, Wally Bell and Alfonso Marquez. This marks McClelland's fourth World Series assignment, the second for Hirschbeck and Winters and the first for Bell and Marquez.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping that none had been behind the plate in the play-offs but four have. Marsh, Hirshbeck, McClelland and Marquez. The first three all did game one's and Marquez did game three in the NYY series. I was lucky enough to win all four games. I'll probably go with the under in game 1 and hope I'm right. Good luck to all of us in the World Series.

If Marsh is the crew chief, does that make him the home plate ump in game one?
