My friend is over and we turned on the Tulsa game since we didn't wanna watch FAU just kneel the ball. My friend says that he saw on the bottom line of espn 30-25 final. I said that had to be an error. This game needs to be looked at. That is a complete set up. No way any idiot would even do anything like that. It makes zero sense. U gain nothing out of it.

I simply don't get it...can anyone explain that play to where it makes sense to the team that is behind, let alone the team that is ahead..........

It was 4th and 24... FAU was lined up to punt with `14 seconds left. Lane instructed the punter to run around and then run out of the back of the end zone to take the safety. This was something that used to be done with some regularity. It actually is an old time way to run clock on 4th down where you do not want to have to punt the ball back with too much time. Lane obviously felt better with is kickoff coverage instead of his punt coverage.
It is an AWFUL bad beat but it was not as rigged as you think.

Should have never got to the punt from the 24. They could have ran the clock out by kneeling. They only took 20 seconds btw snap on 1st down and snap on second down.
First of all, Lane Kiffin is an idiot! I think we can all agree on that. His staff must be idiots too.
They had the ball 1st down with 2:40 to go in the game and Marshall with no time outs. YOU DON'T
TAKE A KNEE. That's the only reason there was 14 seconds left. You run the ball 3 times and the clock would run out w/o having to punt.
This is a great example of why I no longer bet on sports. You can't win consistently in the long run. Bullshit like this is all too common today. Save your money and buy yourself something nice guys.

It was incredibly mismanaged there is no doubt. I am sure they were happy to be just getting out of there with the win. I would say that most people with 7 or more had Marshall and under 7 had FAU... I dont believe anything nefarious happened just ignorance.
I am sorry for the bad beat for those that took it. I have been on the wrong end of a few this year and I can empathize. But just like playing the sport you must have a short term memory because tomorrow is a full slate as well as Sunday.... Then CBB is starting. Shake it off. Put it in the memory bank and move on.
FWIW clock management in college football is one of the worst skills for almost all of these damn coaches.

Cost me huge as took FAU -6.5 for a large 10* wager... thought I was misreading the final seconds when I saw 30-25 on my phone as wasn't watching, but decided to check as knew the game was about over while at a party. The final phone was reported on my phone as 30-25, but ESPN wasn't updating the score... think they were in disbelief. Would have love to seen people's reactions at the Sportsbooks... sports are never fixed:shrug: Drive started at almost midfield!
Luckily had Memphis -13.5 for 10* & Utah -6.5 for 12.5* or would be really irate, but man 3-0 night is so much better obviously and heading into weekend so excited.
Guess if you are going to wager, you have to realize awful beats happen like Redskins @ Chiefs on MNF if you had Redskins +7 or whatever or anyone who had Colts @ Titans @ +7.5 on MNF as I had Titans ML & Colts +7.5 and was sitting pretty for a monster middle.

Taking the safety is smart sometimes but not here...not w a 7-point lead.
