WV/Colorodo in game...

This is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fun!!!!!!!! Figure out which way the public is, verify it, bet the other way, and laugh all the way to the bank. Maybe tonight, unlike last night, the middle will hit when I bet it at halftime!
Still a long ways to go - i just can't believe 21 pts scored already in half a quarter...last night 21 in 1st half and game goes over - i just can't hit the totals right lately...hard not to see 5 more TD's and a FG being scored from here on out - but maybe this starts out high scoring, and tails off in 2nd half...anyways go Colorodo score as many as you can i guess
Really wasn't expecting this uptempo offense - snapping it w/ 20 seconds everytime - I didn't like seeing Pat White get that big run on the last possession - wanted to keep that offense struggling a bit...this is why the play 60 minutes who knows who it all turns out...
Colorodo needs to slow things down a bit - one way to beat WV is to simply keep Pat White off the field...
Agree guys..... But this over seems to be something that both teams want the way it is snapped with 20 secs+ almost every time.... :shrug:
One thing though I've taken away from watching WV on the road - they tend to use up the playclock and at times seem to come close to delay of games - it's another reason i leaned under...who knows i guess alot of game to play 14-7 after 1 quarter...have under 57.5 and Colorodo +3.5...good game though thus far..

Why risk pissing away some cheese chasing a middle when you are confident that you are already on the right side?
Boy, am I glad I didn't bet on this game. I was really leaning towards WV -3. Didn't think an unranked Colorodo team that had unimpressive victories against no-name schools could dominate the No. 21 team in the country. What a joke this college ranking system is. WV is the worst 'ranked' team I've seen in a while....:mj07:
BigFatLooza - good note about the "ranking system" - see one thing i believe people fall victim to from time to time (myself included) is we tend to buy into this "ranking system" - and over emphasize the ranking.
For example how many times do we see a game like tonight where the #21 ranked West Virginia team is "only a 3 pt. favorite...it looks sooo easy to take WV in this spot. Your are correct on paper it's tough to take Colorodo. But this is where you need to read into the line, recognize the public reaction, and act accordingly. This game has a long way to go and just one game is not a good example, but time after time we see unranked teams beat ranked teams or lower ranked beat high ranked teams. We tend to over value the ranked teams.
Just think about and notice all the upsets that occur to the "ranked" teams - not that this usually bodes well for the lesser ranked or unranked team against the spread.
That little ranking system though sure has a way of influencing public perception about a team though doesn't it?
