FWIW...from the father of a WVU DB..........--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know I have not done this for awhile but I felt this game warrants a "little insight" from a players perspective....

I just got off the phone with Mike and OH MY!!!!! this Mountaineer team is going to come out breathing fire Wednesday night!!!..

Mike has the "feeling", his teammates have the "feeling" and the coaching staff has the "feeling"....but more importantly Mike told me they all know OUR FANS HAVE THE FEELING!!!and they are asking all of us to rock the stadium and let the Hokies know they are in for a real ass kickin'!!!

Mike said the atmosphere surrounding the coaching staff and team has been all business but they are loose and ready...he does not feel they will be over psyched....and they will be ready to show the nation the same Mountaineer team that beat up on Miami...only this time the outcome will be a victory for all Mountaineer faithful....

we all know this is a young team for the most part but they all will be playing like veterans Wednesday night...I could hear the confidence in his voice...Coach Rod and staff will have the team ready to play their best football!!

I am not trying to give false hopes but I really believe these guys know what has to be done, how important it is for the program that they get a win on national TV and let the entire college football universe know that the Big East is alive and well!!!

no matter what the outcome these guys are going to leave it all on the field!!!!..so let all of us get ready to yell and scream until our voices give out and do not ever stop until the final whistle blows!!!

imo i can't see wv beating vir.tech who have they beaten rutgers and east carolina true they cover with miami they may cover with tech but beat them outright i don't think so but again this is only my opinion

I have never seen a bigger homer on this site. Please Va Tech pummels your squad. I don't care if you and the 30,000 or so or whatever your staduim holds is rocking. Who are you kidding with your insight to your players and coaches? I got Va Tech -12 1/2 and I think that is a gift. It will be a great present to see you go away.:nono: :nono:

A nice example of why you cannot rely on or use most of the sports information found on the internet. This is completely ridiculous.

I know how you feel about wanting to make a play on your squad, but one thing i've learned to do is STAY AWAY from my favorite teams. You'll always have that very small bias for them no matter how "neutral" you try to be towards your capping.

With that said, VT is in the drivers seat to the national title. They are a complete team. They have an outstanding running game, a good seasoned QB, and an excellent defense. You're probably clinging to the WV/Miami game, but don't forget, the 'Canes have a struggling Brock Berlin at QB and an average runner in Jerrod Payton. VT puts it on 'em.

Thinking of buying my bet back on west va. I don't like to see all yall so sure. west virginia may show up and the cover may be close, but i think va tech will definetly show up. This is a heated rivalry also. Do yall not think they may overlook them for Miami.

It's hard to overlook your instate rival, regardless of their record. I think VT knows WV will be focused, but VT is just too powerful. I equate this game to the Red River Shootout and I expect a similar outcome. VT get's the big win.

As I mentioned in a thread before...I dont post much ..but do a lot of research. WVU is pobably not going to win this game...but It should be close. VT is looking ahead to that showdown with Miami. Miami was doing the same thing when they were looking ahead to FSU the next week and almost got stung, if it would not have been for the game winning FG in the last minute. WVU is tough at home....especially playing on national TV...its just like playing on a thursday.....take the points

I am glad you have read and posted my posts. If you can read, you will not find a bunch of nonsense about inside information. I do not talk of locker room chatter and the fact that hahahaha they will play till the whistle blows (coach speak). You also act as if Morgantown is the second coming of "The Swamp, Lincoln, Auburn, Texas, BigHouse, or a number of tough places to play. I do not mind comments on your home squad but that was ridiculous and I am not the only one who thinks so.:moon: :moon:

im not going to jump on you for posting it. you were and still are just trying to help.

i think a lot of your credibility is lessened when youve repeatedly gone nuts over past west virginia games claiming the same thing.

if im not mistaken, i think it was the maryland game maybe where you were going absolutely bonkers and claimed to take out loans....only to say you didnt bet the game, or you bet it small or something. quite honestly, i dont remember the specifics, just remember you going nuts and basically allowing us to paint an online picture of you with blue and gold face paint and an oversized foam finger.

so i think you can understand why some of the other guys are a little apprehensive about taking your wvu posts seriously.

its all about being objective. i think in this case you mean well but your past wvu posts work against you here.

as far as wvu being "up" for the game.....well, with the #3 team in the nation coming to town for a nationally televised thursday night game, id sure hope wvu is "up" and ready to play.

personally, i think im passing this one.

wvu took miami to the wire, but i think that could work against them here. vtech normally would be looking ahead, but with wvu providing miami with that scare, i think you can forget about a vtech lookahead. points look appealing, but vtech is capable of blowing them out. far too tough a game for my liking
