I agree, I was against where they put the WWII memorial at first, but they did a spectacular job with it. Korean Memorial is incredible at night, looks like those soldiers are coming right out of the field at you. Real cool stuff.

Steven Ambrose was a driving force behind the D-Day Museum in New Orleans.......one of the reasons he chose that city was that was where the Higgens boats were manufactured........Higgens boats were the Allied landing craft used in the D-Day invasion and numerous other amphibious landings

Amazing it took so long. Can't disagree with that. There is an elderly man who comes in most days to come hang out for a bit at the starbucks in our store and found out he was a Bowson's Mate (Spelling?) on the Saratoga for the entire war.
Civil War museum in New Orleans? Damn, would have thought Vicksburg would have been a better choice. :look:
