comcast,right?....i`m paying roughly 250 a month(not including boxing/mma ppv`s)....

i would dump it if i could actually talk to a verizon salesperson and ask questions about packages....

but with verizon, you basically have to go online and i ain`t signing up for shit without having my questions answered by a human being....

Yup, Comcast. It's $159 here for the whole 9 yards :scared the ultimateTV package, the fastest internet and phone with all the stupid features (I don't even need the phone but you have to get it, I guess).

What's wrong with your service? I have nothing but good things to say about Comcast since I got with them 6 years ago.

after the honeymoon period, the rate hikes come fast and furious....

try reading and understanding the bill....i finagled what i thought was a free dvr under threat of taking my business elsewhere...

well i got the dvr for $0.00....but buried in the bill was a charge for "dvr service $15.95"....

so i guess this means that you pay for the dvr...and dvr service?....f-ck that...

bullshit...you can`t beat em...i`m gettin` out...

It says "no charge for the DVR and no charge for the service"

But, you're right, it's a 6 month special deal and then the price goes up. I better read it all, like you say.

so does that mean that you normally pay to rent the dvr?...and a separate payment for "dvr service"?....

you`re already paying out the ass for all the premium packages and stuff...

that`s a shifty assed way to double bill you....

i have the triple play...when i had the dmaned thing put in,i wasn`t made awre of stuff i needed to know(passwords and the fact that i needed a battery that worked in the modem so i could have a phone in case of a blackout)......

i drove out to their facility for a replacement and the second battery didn`t work either...

these guys are crooks...if i can talk to a human being from verizon,i`m switching....i`ll drive out to verizon`s kiosk in columbia mall if necessary...

We don't have any of that stuff. I had Tivo years ago but we didn't use it so I turned it off. I think it was around 15 bucks a month. We're not big TV people here. I don't have any of the premium channels either but I am getting HBO tomorrow for that new series starting Sunday.

Before I moved out here I had DirecTV and loaded with all the premiums and sports packages but it was never used anymore and I gave it all up. I like cable 50 times better than DirecTV and I had that since the beginning, until 6 years ago. I was even on a dish when they were 15' in diameter.

HELL
Go get directv and be done with it, this way you can get the NFL Package and watch the Ravens lose to the Steelers in week 4. There is still enough time....

Oh and refer me so we can both save $100!

Why do you think Verizon is going to be any better

comcast blows...the keep taking channels...3 t.v.`s that used to be getting basic cable have been rendered null and void because of their upgrades...

neighbors switched and they love it...better quality picture and service......and an old friend down the street is a wheel at verizon...he swears to me thati`ll be happy as hell that i switched....

but like i said,if i can`t talk to someone to set up a package,i ain`t foolin` with it...i`ll continue to be ripped off by comcast...

people are particular about their cable t.v...i don`t care if i`m getting 300 stations...i want to know WHAT those atations are....how much i`m being charged ....

i wired my whole house for cable myself...8 t.v.`s worth...i want to know that i`m not getting charged for installation...the wires are there...all that needs to be done is to connect a coaxial cable...

what the hell ever happened to quality customer service?...talking to people(people that speak english:D )...

it`s downright disheartrning...

you were right, weasie.

just got my first bill and somehow that $159 monthly package I thought I was getting mysteriously turned into a monthly bill for $230.19 :mj07:

Now I get the pleasure of calling customer service sometime soon and bitching about this.

Screw it, they can take away TV and phone and I'll get DirecTV. I don't need the damn phone.

Unbelievable!

This oughta be fun but it will be next week because I certainly don't feel like this today

What a crock!

these guys are real pro`s ,bud.....i felt pretty good about taking a hard line with them and wheedling a free dvr out of them...and saw that there was the dvr listed on my bill as free.....

but further down they charged me for dvr "service"....:mj07: ..what f-cking "service"?.....i`m already getting gouged for cable/phone/internet....they have a hamster wheel over there that powers the dvr?....

that`s sheer genius....:142smilie

i would change but i have everything just like i want it...nfl network...all kinds of college foots channels...all my favorite spanish language stations:)facepalm: )......i have my cable boosters(MY boosters) set up to give me a perfect quality picture on the end of my long cable runs...

i hate having everything ripped out and starting over with another company...but these s.o.b.`s are thieves...

keep track of the bill bud...watch the creeping incrementalism as your bill slowly rises ....

Fios all the way. I could care less about price, I want the best quality. Saying that it's cheaper than Time Warner.

I don't like either Dish or Directtv because I like my video on demand for my primetime shows and premium channel shows.
