Mich. scores with 0 time left, but I thought they kicked the XP at the end of regulation. I know they do not in OT, but Penn St. could have blocked the XP and run it back for the tie!

What is the exact rule there?

final play of the game...the TD gave them the win so no extra point needed...thats the way I understand it.

Just like in basketball if i guy hits a shot at the buzzer to win the game and is fouled..i dont think they shoot the foul shot??

You won't see that much in basketball b/c they will usually put a couple tenths of a second back on the clock.
But yeah, no need to kick the PAT.
Sometimes they do kick in NFL b/c one of the tiebreakers is points. But sometimes they still don't kick it.

This came up a couple of weeks ago...the xp try occurs unless the defense does not take the field to contest it...no defense, no xp try...

Listen fellas like I stated earlier its the biggest POINTSPREAD BUSTER/FIXER college football has right now.

IT makes me irrate that they dont let the defense try to blocked the extra point and maybe run it back for a T.D. instead they let the fans decide the game by running on the field

they must have the extra point try. when they don't they break their own rules.

NFl requires the PAT play; college does not. Remember the Patriots game a few years ago when the Pats lined up for the PAT with the other team in the locker room? They snapped it, and the holder gave it to Vinatieri who ran it in for 2 points, which covered the spread for a lot of the fans in the stand. (I think the line ended up at -2.5/-3, and the 2-point conversion gave the Pats a 4-point win.) You have to runthe play in the NFL, but not in college.

I heard the field was rushed before any try could be done so they just skipped it.
