YANKEES/ANGELS Over 8.5 -125 - The first 2 games of this series both went easily Over, and I expect more of the same tonight. This is a critical game for the Yankees, as they do not want to go down 2 games to 1 with game 4 to be played at Anaheim. The Bronx Bombers usually respond very well offensively when faced with pressure situations, so I look for them to get to Ortiz early. Ortiz can be nasty when he is on his game, but he has zero post season experience, and it will be interesting to see how he reacts should the Yanks score a couple of early runs. Granted, the Anaheim bullpen was outstanding during the season, but they were sub-par in the first 2 games of this series as they may have been a tad overused during the year. Mussina was a deceptive 18-10, as he had a very high (for him) 4.05 ERA. He allowed an OBA of .253, which while acceptable for most pitchers, is well below Mussina?s standards. He did finish the year strongly, not allowing an earned run in any of his last 3 starts. However, 2 of those starts were vs. Tampa Bay, and the other was against Baltimore. He should find this Anaheim lineup considerably tougher.
