Being a Met fan, can't emphasize enough how much I hate the Yankees, but Clemens at a -125 favorite and the YAnkees -120 in the series seems the only way to go. Series play I think is real strong. Pitch around Giambi and this team won't score. Projected line-ups has the Yankees batting Bernie Williams 9th. Yankees have been there done that in this first series situation and when Mulder and Zito hit the mound it will be too much of not enough. Yankees I feel win this one easily, then hopefully lose next round. Yanks suck!!!! But love them in this series.

Oakland had the second best 2nd half record in the history of baseball. In last year's playoffs at Yankee Stadium, Zito: 5 2/3 IP, 7 hits, 1 er. Tejada, Chavez and Dye all 30 plus home run type guys. Long had over 20 last year. If the A's can steal game 1 I like their chances.

A's have the second best after all-star break record in the history of baseball. Last year's play-offs at Yankee Stadium Zito 5 2/3 IP, 7 hits, 1 er.. maybe the hottest pitcher in baseball the last 6 weeks. Long hit over 20 hrs last year--Dye, Chavez, and Tejada all have, or are capable of 30 plus hrs. If the A's get game 1 I love their chances. GLTA oops, didn't know the previous post went through.

In Mulder's last 17 starts, the A's have won 14 of them. In Clemens last 3 starts, the Yanks have lost 2. Clemens got great run support all year; he can't count on that happening against a quality starter like Mulder.

Just feel strongly that this is the second season and this A's team even though they were there last year haven't been around enough to be +105 in the series against this Yankee team. Would not be suprised if the A's won(Hate the YAnks), but could not bet them at that price. I feel there is alot of value in the Yankees and none with the A's.

I see this game alot like cleveland last night. The tribe had players that had been there before. Not only is that true tonight with the yanks, they are at home. We Tribe fans don't like the yanks but I think they are the play tonight. JMO LOL

THis is the playoffs, and Mulder has been great , but it's moneytime and it's Clemens -125!! The line-up this newspaper is showing is:
Knoblach Damon
Jeter Tejada
Martinez Giambi
Posada Dye
Justice Chavez
O'Neil Long
Brosius Giambi
Soriano Hernandez
Williams Menechino

Thought it was odd as well , but very interesting.
