December 11, 2002
TORONTO (AP) -- Center Harold Druken was acquired on waivers by the Maple Leafs, his third NHL team in 41 days. He will join Toronto for its game in Philadelphia on Thursday night.
To make room for Druken, Toronto placed forward Shayne Corson on injured reserve. Corson will be out of the lineup at least another 10 days because of a groin problem.
The Leafs claimed the 23-year-old Druken off waivers Wednesday from Carolina. He had one goal and two assists in 13 games with the Hurricanes.
Carolina acquired him along with Jan Hlavac on Nov. 1 from Vancouver for Marek Malik and Darren Langdon. With the Canucks, Druken had one goal and one assist in three games.
