Where it is real F ing COLD
This is a thread for all the bonehead plays you see in MLB baseball that you want to vent about!

Rayburn for the Tigers is on second with an out. Ground ball to short and he runs to third where he is immediately and easily thrown out. No more runner in scoring position! It wouldnt be so bad if this was a rare occurrence but I have seen it happen 3 times in 3 days. Growing up in the 80s I never remember it happen that much. WTF are these guys doing?

I would like to add two more plays that also drives me nuts. Being a former collegiate player I don't understand when...

First: Major league-rs that can not lay down a sacrifice bunt when asked. I think a player should be fined if he can not lay done a damn bunt to move a runner over. These are basic fundamental taught at a young age. Sometimes there are pitches that are tough to handle but a majority of the time the player's techniques are just simply awful. Sacrifice bunts are essential to the game. Its small ball but can make huge difference on strategy. It changes a pitchers pitch selection, the field positioning, or even double play opportunities. With not as many HR now a days, have a runner in scoring position, a base hit or sacrifice fly can be the difference between a win or loss. Drives me nuts.

Second: Pitchers giving up a hit on a 0-2 count. They should be fined when this happens. I understand there are times when someone throws out their bat and bloops one in. Why challenge anyone with a 0-2 count. Throw one in the dirt, or up high and away. Give yourself a chance for a simple out. Drives me nuts.

Another fundamental play that have seen ignored, is that when the walk-off winning run is on third with less than 2 out, the proper play is to bring your outfielders in to where, if they catch a fly ball, they can throw the runner out at the plate. This also prevents some line drive hits that would otherwise drop in. Beyond me how managers can not see that...

Liriano just gave up his first hit In the sixth. A 3 run bomb on an 0-2 pitch to Braun. A meatball
