Phils pen has already given up 3 runs in 1 1/3 and the bases are still loaded with one out. I'm really starting to think I went into the wrong line of work. :mj07:

Phillies sucked last year and they'll suck again. They're only good at hitting into double plays!

FYI

Rowand sucks too. Give me 5 mil and I'll run into a wall once a week. BFD! He wasn't a center fielder here and he isn't there.

I've never been a fan of Rowand either. I don't think you could put him in the Mike Lowell and Brandon Inge "automatic out" category though. Although it sounds like you've seen a lot more of him than I have so maybe I'm wrong!

I love the collapse. I am on Mets today. Had Mets yesterday and Met pen cost them.

Sad thing is now Wagner isn't going to get my fantasy team a safe since they got too many runs:mj07:

I had the Mets yesterday too. I came close to betting them today but laid off. Oops. Well it looks like the Phils were able to limit the damage. Only 8 runs in 2 innings. :142smilie

no kidding bro, I almost feel bad for the phils. There starting pitching is decent, but that bullpen is the worst I've seen in a while. :scared

They could easily have 3 or 4 wins if it wasn't for that bullpen blowing leads.

They hit into double plays so well they MUST practice it

I'm not talking about the past, I'm talking about nowadays. Lowell isn't a good hitter anymore, despite his "robust" .273 lifetime average. :mj07:

273 for a lifetime average is not to shabby.

Also last year Lowell hit 284 and had an ops of 814

thats not an automatic out

You're right, it's not. But I think it's fairly average,
not great. I honestly didn't realize he had that high of an average last year. I just know that when I've followed Sox games the last couple of years he seems to be a shell of the player he was with the Marlins.

This is like a rerun from last year. First they have the dumbest leadoff hitter in the history of baseball. Looking to hit a homerun every at bat. The number two hitter should be leading off. Rowland should have been traded when he made the catch of his life because some sucker would have taken him. Another terrible hitter with men on base. Since they didn't make that move shift him to right and put the right fielder with the strong arm and great speed in center. Rowland caught a ball twenty feet behind 2nd base today and wasn't even close to getting the guy out at home. The left fielder is pathetic and his true colors will shine and he will hit his patented 220 with men on base when it is all said and done. To many guys in this lineup who strike out over 100 times and it never changes. They get rid of Polanco for a clown who is now in jail. The relief pitching is as bad if not worse than last year and this Madson kid is no way a reliever. Just a walk waiting to happen. Where is the catcher who had a nice solid bat last year? Coste i think his name was. Did they get rid of him? Ihave to laugh when Jimmy Rollins had his hitting streak last year i told my father to watch because he is finally gonna play like a leadoff hitter because he now is trying to get a hit every game. As soon as it was over he was back swinging for the fences. When Bowa finally got fired i saw him in a interview saying how he had to call Rollins to his office about five times a year to explain what a leadoff hitter is supposed to do.
