This is absoululty ridiculous w/the Cards. I have said all year that this pitching staff is so overrated. They need 6 runs per gm to be effective and Larussa has pulled shit out his ass with the Cards in trouble during the year to finagle this pitching staff. thank GOD for great support from the bullpen. This pitching staff has falen behind all the boSox hitters and find themselves in trouble. The hitters are free swingers but damnit....you have to take a few pitches when you find yourself in a hitters count....but they are free swingers and the BoSox pitching staff knows that and more times than not finds themselves ahead in the count. The St Louis pitching staff is not that good that they cant blow people away w/fastballs or show a great slider or curve ball....let ur fielders work for ya....its that simple...or you can do as you have and walk hitters then give up doubles and then a few more walks....you have to pitch ahead and go after Ortis, Damon, Muerrler and the rest...if they hit it out OK...but dont walk their ass to set up anotherr which you cant strike out and pray for a double play.....Had to vent but as I have said many kany times....the STL hitters R great ( if they would take a few pitches) but this starting pitching rotation needs so much help. Dont give me this shit....look how they fared throughout the year.....all that matters is now....and thats what I looked at....I have seen it throught the season and ThankedGod for the hitters because this pitching staff couldn't sit many of us down in order at Madjacks

I agree totally on the walks, was about to post something similar. Nibble, nibble, nibble, nibble...walk. Trust your stuff and stop trying to be so damn perfect with your pitches! Yes, these are great hitters and you don't want to serve up meat, but there comes a time that you should opt for allowing them to put it in play and use your defense. It's not like everytime the bat connects with the ball is a bad thing. They aren't gonna jack one on you all the damn time. These Cardinals pitchers are pitching scared and it won't work! Maybe Suppan will "visualize" himself into pitching a gem in Game 3? Just please learn from Williams and Morris' mistakes!

in 3 games Sox have swung & missed 18 times, that's all you have to know to understand Series.

Suppan is a joke, 11-2 on the road, 6-8 at Bush. He is one of those guys with no balls, no pressure pitcher here, can't stand his own crowd.
