honestly i dont think duke losing opened up the tournament for alot of teams

uconn had the best talent....after that

ucla-tx-duke-memphis-nova-lsu-fla-unc

were are all very similar

duke is NOT and has NOT had a DOMINANT team in a few years......they have lacked athletcism for years now and get exposed in the tourney
Imagine that...you talking crap about Duke...just like about Salim being better than JJ...gimme a break!
Salim is such a standout NBA player.....lmao!

So. Cal
umm my opinion has nothing to do with jj redick vs salim stoudamire (who was a vastly superior collegiant shooter....and yes let's see about jj in the nba....think they guy wont be a factor)

as for duke......they havent been a team to "fear" since they had williams, dunleavy, battier, etc.....

to say the tournament "opened up" when they lost is to say that they were a "clear favorite" that teams were afraid of and whom they had no chance vs.

totally untrue

and, sorry to say....been that way for 4 years or so

a good team....yes.....but not a clear cut favorite that is head and soulders above the rest of the field.

I didn't have the kahones to wager on GMU against UConn...but the way thery are playing...winning it all is plausible.

GMU has a solid all-around game...as some have mentioned, they only lack a bench.

It just goes to show when there is a confluence of confidence, luck , and talent....there is a momentum that builds with a life of its own.

Patriots and Monarchs are the two best CAA teams on paper...ODU has been underachievers throughout the regular season. I thought UNCW might get the upset in the first round, but they fell short.
