NFL YTD +46.8 Units

Appetizers:

2.5 Units OAK +9

Saw people discussing Raiders QB situation in another thread - in my opinion, Brooks is every bit as bad or potentially even worse than Walter - the Raiders' best QB is their 3rd stringer, I'm still not sure why he isn't ever given the chance - that being said, this is a big rivalry and KC might just be peeking ahead to their big Thanksgiving night revenge game vs Denver - Green's 1st back and he may not have the services of Tony Gonzalez, huge for KC as they really don't have much on the outside - myriad of D injuries for KC - look for a tight game

2.5 Units Jets +7 -120

CHI still a bit overvalued, laying a TD on the road to anyone is obviously tough in this league, esp the improving Jets - Jets obviously off of giant win last week which keeps this from being a big play, but the Bears off one just as big and at the end of their 3 game road trip loom the mighty Patriots - this team has shown an ability to come out much stronger in certain weeks than others, and I think this week will be one where they will lack the nec. fire to cover this kind of # in the NFL -

2.5 Units SF +3.5 -115

It seems to me that SEA always makes the mistake of taking their games with the Rams too seriously - they're the Rams, just beat them and move on - but I think they'll be a little bit happy with themselves after their latest win in the "big rivalry":mj07:
SF playing pretty good ball and would absolutely love a W against their division rivals - Alexander back but a different OL blocking for him this year - big fan of Wallace but with the impending move back to the bench I'm not sure he'll play his best today - MNF vs Packers on deck for Seahawks, at 1st glance doesn't seem big but Holmgren vs his old franchise could be reason for a little peek into the future - Big day for Frank Gore

Main Course:

10 Units SAINTS -3

Grabbing this now as some books still have 3.5 and the move back there is likely - main issue at hand is that we have a team with great dissention vs a team unified - OFF vs DEF is just one issue in CINN, as reports have surfaced that Rudi Johnson was again late for meetings this week, just one week after missing time for the same infraction - Johnson publicly calling out DEF stating that OFF would carry this team - character issues abound, and you're not necessarily going to fix that with a weekend jaunt to "The Big Easy" - Palmer with great game last week against very banged-up SD "D", but I think the Saints will be able to get a little bit more pressure on him - SD was missing about 16.5 sacks for that game due to injuries and suspensions
Meanwhile Saints HC Payton has done wonders, esp with his team coming off of a loss - this is a sort of "double whammy", as his team is off an L last week at PITT and an L in their last home game against the Ravens - Saints D will want to atone for hideous showing last week, and the CINN D isn't really fooling anyone right now - I expect a strong effort behind a jacked up crowd in the Superdome today, and I will be in that #, when the Saints come marching in

And as always, good luck no matter which sides you choose

Uno Mas:

Take a look at MINN's recent schedule:

Sun 10/22 at Seattle W 31-13
Mon 10/30 New England L 7-31
Sun 11/5 at San Francisco L 3-9
Sun 11/12 Green Bay L 17-23
Sun 11/19 at Miami 1:00 pm

A lot of travel there, culminating with a trip way down South - Fins need every win they can get after poor start, and their schedule is cooperating right now -

5 Units MIAMI -3

Crappy day as the Saints did themselves in with TO after TO - loss of Colston was huge as Brees didn't have his go-to guy in the red zone

-6.5 Units this week

YTD +40.3 Units

Now 12-2 in all college and pro 10+ Units plays with 2 straight 10 unit losers in the NFL
