Good work! I call it as I see it. Young IMO has turned into a great QB. However, Young was not impressive against Ohio St. this season and that would be a major concern for me if I was a Texas fan. I think his atheltic ability plays a major role in him being a great QB. (duh) But he has convinced me he is now a "legit" passing threat as well. Props to him! However, I still would stack the box against Texas and make Texas beat you through the air. For example, USC's gameplan against Young will prob. be make Young thow 10+ yard passes ALL GAME. Can Young do that all game AND not turn the ball over? I am not sure he can. USC D is extremely fast so Young won't have his "huge" speed advantage like he does against most defenses. If you turn the ball over against USC in a bowl game at the end of the year, GAME OVER!

So. Cal
Are you referring to Matt Leinhart's performance against ND where he overthrew or completely missed 4 wide open recievers for huge gains?
Or the same Leinhart performance where he gets hit and loses the ball and gets lucky and it goes out of bounds and gives them a chance to win?
Yeah Bush is awsome and maybe heisman worthy but don't give me Leinhart talk, his qb rating isnt even as good as Marcus Vick's. Vince Young or Reggie Bush easily the two biggest favorites.

I don't remember Leinart missing 4 wide open WR's. I do know for a fact Leinart had 5 of his passes dropped by the USC WR's. USC should have lost dropping 5 wide open passes. Very sloppy.

Vick QB rating = 167.2
Leinart QB rating = 166.9
Young QB rating = 163.7

Vick = 158 passes
Young = 190 passes
Leinart = 258 passes

Vick = 11 TD passes
Young = 16 TD passes
Leinart = 19 TD passes

*Leinart played 5 of his first 7 games on the road, 3/5 road games @Oregon, @Arizona St. and @ND! :eek:

Matt Leinart has completed 66-of-88 passes for 824 yards, 11 TDS and 1 interception.

Is that good? :shrug:

For the record, these are Matt's stats over the past 3 games. Also keep in mind this is in about 8-9 quarters of work. He has been sitting out last 3 4th quarters. :eek: :eek: :eek:

"I'm just playing and having fun. I got away from that for a couple weeks, trying too hard to do things,'' Leinart said. "The last couple weeks, just been having fun. I'm sure the guys around me, they'd agree."

"My arm feels better than ever. Also, it helps that I'm getting all day to throw out there.''

The team is noticing as well.

"Matt, he's doing really good right now,'' teammate Reggie Bush said. ``He's back to his old self. When he's doing well, we're all doing well.''

Be forewarned future opponents. Matt has gone from chill back to super chill. Things are looking good. :yup

Those look like Heisman caliber #'s if you ask me. :lol: Matt is putting up better stats than last year. He also is taking everyones best shot and had to play 5 of his first 7 games on the road and 3 of those 5 road games were HOSTILE environments. I wonder if the voters and intelligent enough to notice this.

I am afraid Vince Young wins the Heisman because USC has the 2 best players in CFB. They cancel each other out and Young steals the Heisman. That is my prediction!

My voting ballot would be........

#1 Bush
#2 Leinart
#3 Young

IF Bush or Leinart play subpar football to close out season, and Young performs well against weaker competition, I'll give it to Young. Not much separates the 3 IMO. But it is Bush's trophy to lose!

BTW, Young is + $$$$ at Pinny to win the Heisman. That is a great bet!
