Your "futures" wager, and the pending strike...

On the course!
I remember a few days ago seeing a thread by someone showing the profit they are going to make on "futures" wagers in MLB.

My question: Does this fear of a strike worry you?

I know that all books have a certain amount of games that must be played to have action on these wagers. A strike would wipe those bets out, if I am not mistaken. I guess that is good for the guys who have losing wagers, but I would be hot if I held Atlanta or Minnesota, etc.

Does anyone know if I am correct on this?

I have to check with Carib, but I am concerned. I have the following futures (from memory):

Oak over 90 -110 9 units
Nym under 90.5 -110 9 units
Chc under 87 -110 3 units
Det under 73 -110 2 units

all of which are looking good at the moment.

I could wager on 'Will there be a strike (at least 1 game) - yes' at Pinnacle at -120 - this bet is open until at least 8/1.

If anyone knows the exact Carib rules, please post them here. Last NFL season I recall that once the under was mathematically guaranteed, the bet was credited as a winner.

Thanks.

Diffrerent books=different rules. More & more are going to the mathmatical number payout. Some still hold out for the quota number of games. My guess is that with these and if there is a strike wiping out season games, bets are off. THE HITMAN
