I just had some thoughts about my "local guy". He seems to have horrible odds and I wanted to see what your local guys has when it comes to these.

My guy:

10% Juice on sides

20% Juice on totals (??? - what's up with that)

20% juice on 2 team/6 point teasers AND ties lose and if the line is -4.5 and you tease it for the favorite you get it at +1 and for the dog you get +10 so he screws you with the half point and ties still lose!

2 team parlay (both sides) 1->2.4
2 team parlay (One side, one total) 1->2.3
2 team parlay (Both totals) 1->2.2

Luckily I don't play parlays and rarely plays totals. I have a online site as well but I was just wondering if these odds were "traditional" for local guys. I'm guessing everyone is different. Thanks!

Those aren't 6 point teasers then, screw him and take your business elsewhere if you have the option. The 20% juice on totals is enough for me. I'm sure he has plenty of other suckers on the line. Parlay odds are also horrible. Keep a relationship with him to play the occasional side if he gives out a good line, otherwise, give him no other action.

HAHA - I agree and luckily I only play sides. The good thing is that online sites sometimes have lines like K.C -3 (-120) and ALL of his sides are always -110. Atleast in that respect, I can shop around. Thanks for your reply.

Holy chit one of the locals I use has exzactly the same odds and juice!!!!!!!!

and the kicker is everything w/ him ends in a half so there are no pushes

today he has kc-1.5 52.5...........and philly -4.5 43.5

hell i was expecting to get indy at 3.5 and gb at 5.5 he's making me look the other way:thefinger

K.C. -1.5 Wow! I'm surprised it's not atleast 2.5

I like K.C today so I wish my local guy had that line. With those kind of "rules" it seems beneficial to open an offshore account and you can really get the most bang for your buck.

Always having half points is stupid too. So, favorite is -2 1/2, tons of action, move it to 3 1/2, get middled, real smart. Hope he gets throttled. Hate those clowns. Standard booking odds are plenty good to make a nice secondaty income even with limited action, but he never wants to lose. Your bettors need something to keep them happy. He sucks, find someone else. Also, Fatman, make the man feel it on that KC line. If offers offers the option of buying the hook, buy it down to 1, and smoke his ass.

thank goodness I have other locals I can go thru.............which really helps on trying to hit middles

Believe me when I saw -1.5 i almost chit just looking for another good day like yesterday you know you did ok when the bookie calls you and tells you nice job

sounds like you guys need to find a new guy. Their are plenty out their you just have to prod around. Although if this guy is very trustworthy I'd stick with him for sides and grab a internet account for teasers. One of my guys completely cut me off on NBA last year and another one cut me off on 10 pointers in football this year. He said he would give me 9 pointers!! I just laughed and said :thefinger . I have another guy anyway.

thought it was going to be a dog weekend but lookin at the # like the favs today:shrug:

History says that 1 of the 4 teams will lose straight up this weekend - and I'm glad that the Rams took one for the team this year

Homefield and the bye is so big in this round - I think the favs come back in a big way and even the weekend to 2-2 ats.
