Jaspers are coming off a big spanking by Wichita.And the Shockers were a better team.But this is a MAAC game where MC lyr won the tourney and the conf.
Jaspers have the best player in NY in Flores.All he's done is avg 23.5 pts a game.That has to be in the top 10 in the country.He's shooting 25-29 from the FT.Keep that "sign of the cross"going Luis. Holmes inside is avg almost a double double.Kono..K can stick them from the outside.Mulligan has been a nice addition.I'm not impressed with Minor and Wingate.If Bobby G had one of the Iona gds he would be tough.MC plays pressure defense,and lets Flores get the ball.
Rider is coming off a big win vs Iona.Blew them out.I had the line today at double digits so I think I'm getting a few extra pts.Johnson is a stud at the pt.Dominating everyone,shooting,passing,etc,etc.Young and Muniz are solid and ex-Marist 7'0 Castleburry is doing a good job.Taylor is their leading rebounder.Pereira came of the bench vs Iona and had 18 pts and 12 bds.Rider can shoot the 3.They have 4 or 5 players that can stick it.
MC beat Rider both times lyr 75-61 and 76-66.But Rider is 3-1 ats in last 4 vs MC.
I like Flores in tiny Draddy Gym to win this by about 10 pts.
Zaga -8 over George Washington
Zaga loaded everywhere.Watched GW.They are talented.Carl Elliot will be the A-10 rookie of the yr.Wow.Can he play.GW loaded with greyhounds.They were blowing WV out of the gym.Then they make many mistakes.Team is gelling but this matchup is the worse for them.Zaga wins by double digits.
Murray St -2 over WKU..Racers are loaded.Brown and Cuthbert are a combo very few can stop.Chiles is an outstanding pt gd.Jones can shoot from row 4.But Juco Brown has made this team from being good to explosive.
WKU has that great home record.But they are in trouble and do not have the defense to stop the Racers.WKU is already 0-4 ats and 0-2 at home.make that 0-3 today.
Bradley +7.5 over DePaul....think this game stays close.Bradley on a roll.DePaul is back led by the frosh Mejia from my backyard.
Yale -5 over Fairfield
Fairfield has no buisness losing at home to Fordham.Stags have Gai and Thompson avg 10 bds a game.Yet they have been out rebounded in most games.Todd and Goode are there little gds.Maxwell and Bell can score.But they are not a good defensive team.
Yale lost 2 games to WF and Conn.If you remember they gave UConn all they could handle for 30 minuts.Martin is solid in the middle at 6'10.I love Draughan at gd.Vitelli can score.Gamboa is a nice pt gd.Yale has the gds that can outplay the Stags gds.I'll take the Bulldogs here but for a small play.Yale is on my list of teams to aviod at all costs when playing at home and giving pts. Lyr they were 1-7 ats at home.But Fairfield was just little bit better on the road as a dog.

Yest lost with Hofstra.Watched the game.Terrible capping job on my part.They never started to play until about 6 minuts left in the game.They held Columbia to no pts for the last 5 or 6 minuts,played D,stole the ball,etc.They won on a final buzzer beater from 30 ft out.They played no defense,threw passes in the stands.it was so bad Pecora benched Adelkee and Gibson for 10 minuts.I know they beat the Johnnies and it is hard to show up the next game but...anyway..Not making excuses.They suck and so was my pick.Did win Niagara and still think they could beat Manhattan for the title.
